I'm a Flywheel member in another city and this studio is stunning, even though it's in a basement. Huge locker rooms as well. Teacher was good. My only complaint is that I couldn't see him fir most of the class because there are 2 screens in the way.

Studio Tramp (1.5 - Fuel Body Lab)

Great fun challenging workout class. You spend about half the time on the trampoline and the other half doing arm, core, and booty exercises. The class was full with 10 people but enough space for everyone. The songs are choreographed and fun, jumping for 1-2 songs at a time with strength in between. There is metered street parking out front Lockers, towels and filtered water available. I didn’t see any showers.

Jillian is one of my favorite workouts in DC. After coming to her for a few months this last class was the hardest yet. Way to mix it up: she knows when to give instruction, encouragement and a push, and when to let everyone focus into her awesome playlist. She doesnt over-talk the class. And today I am sore - other barre classes no longer make me sore.

Consistently gives form cues and reminders throughout class and checks in with hands on corrections, while pushing you to give more. I also appreciate that she choreographs for a full 60 min class and lets you know when its on the hour so you can decide to stay for additional stretching or not - lets you just focus on the workout and enjoy the me time. Good class, nice studio. The bikes measure your rpm and gears and occasionally the instructor will put up the leaderboard Songs are choreographed similar to other cycle studious - and there is one arm song with weights. Parking is pretty easy, theres a garage under Harris Teeter with some spaces reserved for Cycle Bar, and an elevator that will take you right up to the studio. There are only 2 private bathrooms/changing rooms and with 40 people I can imagine it gets really busy if youre trying to change before class or shower after class. The bathroom was stocked with quite a few styling products, hair ties, etc As a new student they were very welcoming, gave me a tour, had a locker reserved, complimentary reusable water bottle They also let you use their clip-in shoes for no additional cost.

Really fantastic instructor. This is the most consistent barre3 studio Ive been to when it comes to awesome instructors and really challenging workouts. My only complain here is the music is just TOO loud. It was legitimately hurting my ears today. The instructors keep turning it up during the class and it reaches unhealthy levels. I know Im not just being dramatic about it because Ive seen so many other comments on here about it too so I wish they would take that feedback and turn it down a bit and just keep it at a consistent level. Turning it up and down through class is also distracting. This wont keep be from coming back as Ill just bring ear plugs, but still wish theyd listen.

    Nicki Minaj v. J.Lo - Off-Peak Full Body

Justin was incredibly supportive and encouraging of the fact it was my first time -- I really liked him, and he didn't make me feel self conscious at all about not knowing what I was doing. It was super challenging and a little complicated to understand the instructions, but that's the nature of the workout. It's of the most efficient workouts I've ever done -- my entire body was spent afterwards (in a good way!). I did get locked outside for about 10 minutes because I arrived early and didn't know the entry code and my phone battery was dead, and no one could see me stranded outside.

    Restorative/Yin Yoga

So deeply grateful for this class. I was apprehensive to return to yoga after weeks of experiencing severe joint pain. This was the class I needed. Sally is so soothing and calming. She gives wonderful directions and modifications and truly lets you find your space in the pose. Needless to say, I highly recommend this class, especially if you’ve suffered an injury, need some introspective time, or just are tired and had a long day. Truly lovely in every way.

SWEAT - Lower Body & Core

Great class! First time. The lights are kept low, similar to a spin class. Exercises move quickly, but the instructor demos everything. This was definitely more cardio than strength (lots of 20 second intervals basically jumping around) but I liked it. Lots of different fitness levels for fellow classmates. People were going at their own pace. Not intimidating. They provide towels!

    Fuse Pilates

Abe was great, and it turned out to be only 3 people including me so we got a lot of individual attention. I really enjoyed the way Abe taught and explained the movers. He incorporated a lot of yoga and fusion moves into the Pilates routine and took requests to work on specific areas. it was very challenging but fun and a great workout!

    All Levels Flow

This was one of my favorite yoga classes I've taken! Cheryl was encouraging and clear with the directions. She had us do a couple of poses that were new to me that I really liked. She also did a great job of targeting the areas the class wanted to focus on. Looking forward to returning soon!

    XTEND BARRE

Xtend Barre and Barre 3 are my favorite barre studios in the area. Out of the two Xtend is less zen and probably a bit harder, but it incorporates a good amount of actual ballet influence, which I really like. Always a tough workout!! The studio is beautiful, bright and clean and everyone is very friendly and welcoming.
