Flywheel: Method 45 - HipHop Wednesday

Sally was a great instructor! One of my new favorites. Super motivating. Great playlist. Challenging course with a nice variety throughout - tapbacks, hills, sprints, etc. My only feedback for her would be to talk a little less and give riders more moments to ride to the music. Fantastic class though!

    POWER HOUR

Great instructor. So much energy. He made an hour fly by and I had so much fun while drenched in sweat. Only issue was I went with a friend and called the studios days in advance to make sure we were next to each other, only to show up and see they must not have actually made the change. Zengo, please let us pick our own bikes to avoid issues like this

I'm a Flywheel member in another city and this studio is stunning, even though it's in a basement. Huge locker rooms as well. Teacher was good. My only complaint is that I couldn't see him fir most of the class because there are 2 screens in the way.

Jillian is one of my favorite workouts in DC. After coming to her for a few months this last class was the hardest yet. Way to mix it up: she knows when to give instruction, encouragement and a push, and when to let everyone focus into her awesome playlist. She doesnt over-talk the class. And today I am sore - other barre classes no longer make me sore.

    Cycle 45 - Performance

Class is hard but not impossible- you get your moneys worth. 45 min is the perfect length for spin classes, if you ask me. 60 is slightly too long so these classes are great. Antonique and John are the two instructors I always look for on the schedule, for their classes, their personality AND their playlists. I used to take spin regularly in college multiple times a week, but since then (2008) I haven’t found a spin class I liked as much as those classes....until now! Every person on staff is super nice at Zweet.

    Wine Down Wednesday

Good class, nice studio. The bikes measure your rpm and gears and occasionally the instructor will put up the leaderboard Songs are choreographed similar to other cycle studious - and there is one arm song with weights. Parking is pretty easy, theres a garage under Harris Teeter with some spaces reserved for Cycle Bar, and an elevator that will take you right up to the studio. There are only 2 private bathrooms/changing rooms and with 40 people I can imagine it gets really busy if youre trying to change before class or shower after class. The bathroom was stocked with quite a few styling products, hair ties, etc As a new student they were very welcoming, gave me a tour, had a locker reserved, complimentary reusable water bottle They also let you use their clip-in shoes for no additional cost.

Amazing. There is something about Neens voice that is so calming and she explains each pose so well. This was my first time trying hot yoga and while it was tough, I definitely want to come back. Note to newbies: entrance is in the rear, unmarked door and not the one up front with the steps with cute sayings on them. A tad confusing but I quickly figured it out.

Really fantastic instructor. This is the most consistent barre3 studio Ive been to when it comes to awesome instructors and really challenging workouts. My only complain here is the music is just TOO loud. It was legitimately hurting my ears today. The instructors keep turning it up during the class and it reaches unhealthy levels. I know Im not just being dramatic about it because Ive seen so many other comments on here about it too so I wish they would take that feedback and turn it down a bit and just keep it at a consistent level. Turning it up and down through class is also distracting. This wont keep be from coming back as Ill just bring ear plugs, but still wish theyd listen.

    Nicki Minaj v. J.Lo - Off-Peak Full Body

Justin was incredibly supportive and encouraging of the fact it was my first time -- I really liked him, and he didn't make me feel self conscious at all about not knowing what I was doing. It was super challenging and a little complicated to understand the instructions, but that's the nature of the workout. It's of the most efficient workouts I've ever done -- my entire body was spent afterwards (in a good way!). I did get locked outside for about 10 minutes because I arrived early and didn't know the entry code and my phone battery was dead, and no one could see me stranded outside.

Chandra is an awesome instructor - the best for piloting beginners or frequent piloxers. She's so full of energy & nice. She adjusts only a few things on each person each class that make a big difference. (She knows where to point things out and when not to). Didn't feel that this class was as challenging as her previous classes but

Great class- no bs sales pressure. Challenging workouts. You can push yourself/ go at your own pace. I would encourage people to look at the workout format for the day on the companys website (ex core focus, lower body etc) as it rotates weekly. Would suggest women wear pants as you might use the bike for cardio. Also, if youre considering joining, Id say the most affordable and well rounded workout for your money in the Clarendon area.

I’ve been doing Solidcore on and off for a few years, and Shelton was one of the best instructors I’ve ever had. Enthusiastic and encouraging with being overbearing. Stickler for form. Great playlist. Highly recommend his class!

    C2 - CorePower Yoga 2

Awesome class with this instructor. It was a tough few flows, but tough in that you didn’t realize juuust how hard you were working and the class flew by. I was sore the next day but can still go from sitting to standing without pain and whatnot. Really good instructor! The room did get a little too hot—and she asked us how the heat was, so it’s completely on me! Pay attention to how much you’re sweating b/c I was oblivious, and because I get migraines I ended up giving myself one like an idiot, purely because of dehydration.

Hard but fun class! Instructor had a lot of energy. Cyclebar is one of those studios that do have arm work on the bike but I like how this instructor used the arm workout lightly and had more emphasis on legs, endurance, and athletics on the bike.

So this wasn't the class I was expecting, but it ended up being the class I needed. I was expecting a more fast paced practice. However this class offered a slower - more holding of poses - type of practice. That being said the instructor really let you make it your own. I left feeling rejuvenated and restored. Very much needed and enjoyed.

SWEAT - Lower Body & Core

Great class! First time. The lights are kept low, similar to a spin class. Exercises move quickly, but the instructor demos everything. This was definitely more cardio than strength (lots of 20 second intervals basically jumping around) but I liked it. Lots of different fitness levels for fellow classmates. People were going at their own pace. Not intimidating. They provide towels!

First of all, this studio is so gorgeous. Love it! The staff was super welcoming. I sweated a lot in this class - I'm a baby so I thought it was really challenging, but in the way that you're glad after that you went (in the moment you kinda want to die). Macey is adorable.

Abe was great, and it turned out to be only 3 people including me so we got a lot of individual attention. I really enjoyed the way Abe taught and explained the movers. He incorporated a lot of yoga and fusion moves into the Pilates routine and took requests to work on specific areas. it was very challenging but fun and a great workout!
