Very high, free flowing energy with this instructor. Not your typical barre class with a heavy emphasis on more modern dance movements (not twerking lol) rather than barre work. Instructor was incredibly positive and offered many affirmations, encouragements and check-ins. Advise that newcomers be barefoot or wear grippy socks to keep from sliding around on the linoleum floor.

This is my 10th or so class with Mayu. It went by super fast! I started taking her CPY1 class in July and it absolutely kicledy butt. I was dripping, no, raining sweat the first class and doubted if I could make it through within the first fifteen minutes (to be fair, the time slot I used to go to was right after a heated class and it was still sweltering by the time non-heated CPY1 came around!). I'm definitely ending 2019 stronger than I ever have been thanks to a combination of Mayu's CPY1 classes, pilates, and Barre3 in Georgetown. However, since the CPY1 class is always the same sequence, I can easily see my progress from then to now. Despite it being the same sequence, I'm still learning each class on how and where to improve and - I still sweat. Just less ? could not recommend more - Mayu gives excellent verbal cues and physical adjustments and guides with a calming, positive presence ??

This is a very hard, rewarding class. You can tell he puts so much thought into the sequencing (which is incredible and always perfectly activates the parts of my body we’re using that night) and teaches to people where they are. You hear him using names all the time where he calls on students and tells them to modify or intensify. Or if you’re slacking. It’s a must-take class.

Vinyasa Yoga / Align & Flow

I loved Jessica's flow! It was challenging in a good way, I didn't expect to get such a sweat going in this class but it felt great. She had unique poses and combinations in her flow that j really liked. Cool playlist too
