VAX ONLY: Small Group / Pilates Reformer (Level 1.5)

Nice, bright space. Upbeat instructor who seemed to pay good attention to our form and gave cues for adjustments. Music played in the background, which I liked, but the pace of the class is good enough to not need the two to pair up. Class was six people and that made it great for individual attention. Felt like I got a good workout in the hour!

    BARRE

I cannot stop raving about this class!!! Meghann was THE BEST barre instructor Ive ever had. This class was so challenging and encouraging, she was an instructor but also a coach. I cant wait to go to another class with Meghann!

IN STUDIO: Sweat + P30 Booty - MASK REQUIRED

I was very impressed with the COVID safety precautions, including the spaces marked on the floor and smaller class sizes. Sarrina was very friendly and encouraging. The title is ACCURATE! you will sweat and your booty will be on fire! I was confused as to how this class works but they do a HIIT style workout for the first 30 minutes (the sweat) and then transition to barre exercises for the second half (P30 booty). I liked it and will return!

    Hot Pilates

This was my first hot/Bikram style class and I thought the heat would really bother me but I really didn't mind it! I was also afraid it would be too challenging as a first-timer but I was able to keep up. Definitely got a great workout and sweat more than I have in any other class before. David's playlist of 90's/early 2000's music was also a fun addition

MINTRide with Coach by Color Tech

Great class once I figured out the bike settings (you have to pick power training, not quick start, and go through all the prompts to set up). I liked that it was taught by zone and not color so no one else could see your zones.

I loved this class!!! It’s definitely a faster, more strenuous pace than I’m used to but I loved the challenge. Ambiya was so friendly. I loved the way she helped me correct my form and posture throughout the class. I’ll be back

Loved the class! Challenging but instructor is inspiring and makes gentle corrections on form that were much appreciated. Loved the flow and the music. Great experience overall and I will be back!

    CYCLED! Cardio Sculpt

This is a cute little studio with friendly staff. The spin classes have a much more intimate feel than many other studios given the small space, small number of bikes, and lack of darkness. I enjoyed this class, but I'm not sure I would call it a "sculpt" class. It seemed like a pretty standard spin class to me. This studio has one shower, but no towels, hairdryer, or basic toiletries, so make sure to bring that stuff with you if you want to shower after class.

    barre3 LIVESTREAM (45 minutes)

Melissa was fantastic virtually. She did a great job of coaching through all moves, helping to demo the move with the count and also check in on us. I loved the combo moves to incorporate more body parts too. Amazing class, thank you!

Anita did a great job reminding me of the things that make Pilates so effective and difficult — abs in, shoulders down, etc. while doing difficult moves, these reminders made all the difference in my workout!

    Buti Yoga

Class was sweaty as expected, difficult but not impossible. It's a good blend of vinyasa and corework reminiscent of belly dancing. Maggie's music was an eclectic mix of chants and hip hop! I'll return ? Advice: enter from the back door through a surprisingly not sketchy alleyway

    Pulse Power Play at Pulse!

Good class! Challenging and went by fast. The class was small but the group was welcoming (seemed like they may have been regulars). The instructor was helpful in showing the moves in each circuit and patient with my confusion as the newbie. Studio is a little hard to find, but well worth it! (Hint: fourth floor of the building!)

    Fusion Flow

Fun and challenging! This was more of a circuit based class with 30 second breaks in between a minute or so of cardio. I still found it rejuvenating as the beginning and end of the class was still like a normal yoga flow

    barre3

Great class but some feedback: teacher asked too many times how exercises were feeling and it was very distracting( instead she could try moving her mike out of the way so we all didn’t hear or describe posture in more detail) also the mic volume was too loud and music too quiet and in the headphones I couldn’t concentrate on the exercises because the teachers voice was overpowering the music. Otherwise this class was great. I’m sure I’ll feel it tomorrow!

Great class. A good mix between cardio and challenging, more subtle movements involving weights. Carolyn is a great instructor, though the one piece of feedback I have is that I do wish she came around to check form more often because there were some points I definitely didnt feel like I was doing the move correctly.

I always appreciate when I visit a new studio and the staff takes the time to show me around! Everyone was super nice and welcoming. The studio space is beautiful and has showers (so convenient). The class itself was super intense but manageable due to Carolyns corrections and modifications. Loved it all.
