Definitely give it 5 stars but have a few pieces of constructive feedback (coming from someone who often has too high of standards but ultimately loves to encourage growth) 1) less talking and explaining, more pushing and encouraging 2) didn’t check in with the new people after class or even during...i know new people always appreciate feeling taken care of 3) didn’t appreciate the stereotyping with weights “most of you ladies will use the green band except you 3 strong wonen” ... could’ve said something like “green is a good choice, blue if you’re feeling extra strong or up for a more intense challenge” 4) would appreciate more direct directions. Sometimes I couldn’t tell if the instructor was talking to treads or floor 5) please give a time “this next sprint will be 30 seconds followed by X”...helps you plan a higher speed Either way; thanks for a great workout! Hopefully these are just tips to bring it to the next level

    This was my first Barrys Bootcamp class and WOW it was amazing. I was very intimidated beforehand and didnt know if I could hang. The people who go to these classes are also very fit and snobby but everyone is so into themselves that they dont even look at you. Gui and the entire staff were very helpful. Gui explained everything beforehand and regularly checked in on the first-timers. The most difficult and rewarding workout EVER. Cant wait to go back and take Guis classes again and again.

His workouts are really tough and I struggle to get through them, but he provides the right amount of encouragement and motivation.     That maybe one of the BEST classes I’ve ever taken at SOS! Do yourself a favor and make time for this class.     The class flies by bc you do so many different exercises. It’s mostly low impact and mostly abs but he throws in a few minutes of calisthenics to get the heart rate up- just be warned for that. I love Ethan’s energy and think he’s an up and coming instructor who clearly loves what he does. I’d encourage him to give more hands on correction for form, and to talk a little less. His words will have more purpose and power if he chooses them more wisely (right now he talks he whole time). A really great sweat and efficient workout!

    Love this class. You’ll work core, upper and lower 3 times. The first round seems slow and like you’re not doing much, but don’t be fooled- the 2nd and 3rd rounds there are less pauses and you’ll definitely sweat and start to feel it. I usually take classes with lighter 3-5 lb weights, but definitely go for heavier weights in here since you’ll do lots of squats with them! Macie is great too and the class goes by so quick (even at 545am).

    This was my very first climber-type class. My initial opinion is that these classes are like a weird, alien spin class. The studio is posh and well located. the instructor was energetic and helpful. but the workout itself is a really awkward for me. I'm a long time athlete, and so I'm very cautious of good form. Despite my caution, I felt a LOT of strain in my low back during this exercise. This also felt very quad-dominant, which I'm not a fan of. IDK, may be worth another try.

    The instructor was amazing and I needed the class more than I realized. However, something kind of strange happened in the locker room and I’m not sure who reads these but maybe management should look into it. I had just started my monthly cycle and was feeling sick after the class so I wasn’t able to shower right away. By the time I was able to shower and was finishing up I was getting out of the shower and not clothed; naked in a towel. The cleaning lady came into the shower area and asked if I was OK with guys coming into move the floor mats. I looked down and said well no I have no clothes on, that is not OK with me. She immediately got an attitude and said fine I will move them myself and then started throwing the mats around aggressively and loudly. I became so uncomfortable that I ended up leaving before I was even able to dry my hair or even brush it. I had to return to work with wet hair and I had to do my make up in my car.     This is probably the best class I'm taking at Barry's... and I go few times a week. I can't get enough of it! Only one I actually look forward to there. LOVE the 5m back and forth format, use of medicine balls combined with all the right moves. And the music is on point! HIGHLY recommend this class & instructor if you can only take one at Barry's!!
