Always a good class. Compared to other boxing studios it’s more rounds of boxing moves and less burpees/squats etc. which I like. I can do my own squats and jumping jacks. Also the bishop is softer on your shin when you kick hard so it’s a better workout with no bruising!

    Boxing Mechanics - Level 1

It was an absolute pleasure to be in this class! Beautiful amenities much better than any other boxing gym Ive been to. Big focus on correcting technique but dont assume that means youre not going to get a great workout. It was pretty much non stop with the exception of optional water breaks. Really great class Ive youve done large group classes but are looking to really work on the proper mechanics of boxing. And all the staff was really cool, as well.

Our class had fewer people so we only had 5 stations with 2 people at each station. Normally it seems to be 6 stations. Each station was 6 minutes long and Victoria did a great job in showing us the moves and coming around to correct everyone. Cardio was light but there were still some. Our class really focused on upper body but other instructors may be different. This is definitely for strengthening and I feel sore today!

Definitely a fun class! more focused on actual kickboxing technique and felt less cardio unlike kickboxing classes elsewhere. Wanted it to focus more on technique and self-defense moves- that was maybe only a third of the class. The rest was in cardio drills or kicking and punching the bags. Be prepared to have rough contact with other people in class. There was an odd number of students so a group of three had to practice a lot which was kind of annoying considering the instructor could’ve jumped in to make it even and give everyone the same amount of practice time. Great studio and welcoming vibes!

    Kickboxing

This was my first class here. I made an effort to be there early and introduce myself to the instructor. Yoseuf was great! The girl at check in did not really do too much to show me around or tell me where to go, etc. I had to ask where the class was, if I needed shoes (you don’t), where I could put my bag. She was helpful when asked. As far as class, I’ve kickboxed before elsewhere so the learning curve wasn’t really there for me. However, I was next to a girl that was brand new to kickboxing-Yoseuf introduced himself and came over to correct form and show her what to do. He definitely paid attention to me and the other girl as we both had never been to this studio before which was great! Music was good! Only thing was one water break for 90seconds. This class is can get you out of breath-2/3 water breaks for 30 seconds would’ve been nice instead. Intense class that you leave dripping sweat from. I will be back here for sure. Thanks Yoseuf!!

One of the best workouts I’ve had with ClassPass. Mike was very attentive to this new “boxer” and gave some one on one instruction. The class was very welcoming but you could tell they were a tight-nit community who joke and support each other. If you’re a Gen Xer you’ll appreciate the soundtrack; one of the fist times I’ve seen an instructor actually time a workout to the music - fun! Though new to ClassPass, this studio has been at the game for a long time and it shows. Highly recommended for a kickboxing workout. And thanks, Mike, for helping with the hand wraps!

My second boxing class (Henderson rd) was even better than my first experience! (Grandview). I was made to feel so welcome, taught the basic poses moves and stances, the hand wraps were $5 here instead of $10 (and I was prepared to buy for $10 after lass class when my knuckles split and cracked the few days after). Plus just like before it was a great workout. This location has treadmills, an actual boxing ring, and some free weights and other training tools as well, to facilitate personal training. My instructor, Ron, was motivating and challenging and did a good job giving me feedback since I was new. Abe and Carson (I think!), were also super nice st the front desk and with getting me all set up for the class, wrapping my hands, and showing me special offers they are running right now (~$22 for a month instead of $99! Not bad!) and they also have a discount for public servants like teachers, police officers, firefighters, etc, for when your first month is up ($69 instead of $99).

    Cardio Kickboxing K1

A 45-min nonstop, upbeat class! Due to having taken some cardio kickboxing classes before I could follow some of the movements. But I’m sure that it will take a few session to keep up with the routine. Great for an intense cardio session.
