    EXCEED: The Workout

Such friendly people and different from other full body classes I've taken. It was a nice surprise to use the rowing machines, jump ropes and to do sprints. Marianna was great with high energy and correcting form when needed. Nice people at check and at class. Also nice locker room with best towels in a NYC studio yet!!

    Slow-Burn

As a beginner to hot yoga, this was the perfect class. I felt like the vinyasa flows were a bit too fast but it was nice that we were given time to flow on our own. Sam came around and provided adjustments. The restorative section was just what I needed after a week of intense strength and cardio workouts and feeling sore. The heat works so well with the sequences. My spine feels so much better. To think I was going to pay for an infrared sauna session to get the effects that I got in this class! I wish this class lasted even longer! Bring lots of water and a towel.

    FOUNDATIONS (core building)

Sean was amazing and so was the studio. I thought I would feel out of place because this would be like one of those pretentious studios attended by girls who wear Lululemon, but that couldnt be further from the truth. I was welcomed by the receptionist. Sean was amazing. He came around and corrected everyones form. This was my first reformer class so I had trouble setting up, and Sean was super helpful. As for the class, its a beginners class so I didnt feel super tired, but there were definitely parts where my abs were burning. If youre looking for an intense workout, you wont find it here, but thats not why I took the class. Pilates is about body control and awareness. Its a good way to strengthen your core muscles and also smaller muscle groups, which helps with injury prevention. I didnt think I would enjoy a low intensity workout as much as I did. I felt like I learned a lot about my body, and it was nice to slow things down and really think about what your body is doing.

More of a barre-based workout than I had expected (there werent any specifics provided on Torchd in the class description other than the fact that it was high-intensity). I thought this was going to be a class focused solely on boxing, but it ended up being a HIIT class, with some boxing on bags, and mitt work thrown in. The class was challenging and I enjoyed it regardless, but be aware you do not box for the full hour, nor even 50% of the class. Instructor was nice, and gloves are free to use.

Gorgeous space with bridge views and tin ceilings - like the perfect apartment, but for yoga. Jess was a great teacher - direct, specific, and expert. Giving it five stars because it's the perfect class for some people just not me. Most classes I've been to here involve bag work but this is mainly conditioning and partner work. As a south paw, I often confuse the person I partner with which is why I don't like it. The conditioning element is the best I've had but I'm just not fit enough to fully do it. One day maybe I'll return to Kenny's class.

Melissa was great. Super energetic and welcoming. This is classified as a rowing studio but the rowing technique is very different than a regular rowing class so set your expectations. In most rowing classes your legs power the exercise. In this workout legs are static for most of it and core/upper body powers the rowing action. I find it to be not as full of a cardio workout without the legs. But if you want a good core/your body focused cardio workout, you'll enjoy this studio.

    cp BLOWOUT

Was styled by Alexis and had the best time! The salon is beautiful and located in a great part of Soho, which makes it the perfect pick-me-up while doing errands. Alexis used high-quality products and was very informative given that I have double-processed hair. My hair is super soft and shiny now and I’ll def be going back!

    Gentle Peel

Loved that she asked so many questions about my skin and what i was looking to achieve and was really thorough in her answers about what she was doing, why, the effects and what to expect. It was my first peel and i was nervous, but she was great about making me feel comfortable. Will definitely try again!
