    F.I.T. (Focused Interval Training)

One of the most challenging classes I have ever taken but Ashlea was amazing with encouragement, good music and help correcting form. Ashlea also provides more challenging more for more advanced but as a basic Physique 57 goer I did fine. I will definitely be looking to take more classes with her and specifically the FIT one.

    Candlelight Heated Yin

This class was exactly what I was looking for. Think of it as a lightly heated restorative yoga class where you hold a each position for about 2 minutes with the use of props (blocks/sandbags/blanket) to help you really open up into it. I also really enjoyed the instructors music choice. I often find the vinyasa classes at this studio to be a bit too loud but I found the volume in yin to be appropriately tempered

Candlelit yoga in a blacked out room heated with vinyasa flow. Sweat Sesh. Kendra is a great instructor. Definitely need a little background in yoga as there are several "yogis choice secrions" which you might get lost in the sequence if you aren't familiar with it. Has a soul cycle studio feel. Malin and goets products, scented candles, branded Mitch. Only one shower which you can sign up on the list for before class. You can rent mats and yogi toe skidless towels. FOUNDATIONS (core building)

Pilates is a lot harder than it looks. Especially if you are very thoughtful about it and do it properly. this worked muscles other workouts neglect, sych as hamstrings, and smaller more subtle muscles in the core. It is a very core intensive workout. I have done to beginner classes one with Katherine and one with Sean. Sean's was a little bit harder, but they were both very good introductory classes. If you have never done Pilates, or haven't done it in a long time, you should definitely take this beginner class. the SOHO Studio is beautiful, but I found the Greenwich Village Studio a little more welcoming

    Community Class

Danbi was super welcoming as I came early and she showed me around. She talked to me about her journey and told me a few important things that would be happening before the class. Before the class started we went over a few key moves and things to know about the reformer. Class was DIFFICULT and I’ve done classes like Tone House and other intense HIIT classes. I loved challenging myself in a different way today and even though the music wasn’t my vibe the workout and Danbi definitely were. Even if you’re new to workout don’t feel bad about taking a pause when your muscle is about to cramp because it’s a community of people at different levels but I saw many people stopping at a point. The place is very nice and the people very warm and welcoming, still deciding whether the therapy was much good but even if it wasn’t I think it’s worth a try and I certainly can’t fault the staff One way or the other

Melissa was great. Super energetic and welcoming. This is classified as a rowing studio but the rowing technique is very different than a regular rowing class so set your expectations. In most rowing classes your legs power the exercise. In this workout legs are static for most of it and core/upper body powers the rowing action. I find it to be not as full of a cardio workout without the legs. But if you want a good core/your body focused cardio workout, you'll enjoy this studio.
