Great class. Only thing I would change is I would have liked all of the exercises using the reformer/tower (vs mat class exercises on the platform extender) since I have access to regular mat classes at much less cost than reformer!

SUCH a wonderful class. Rayisa had amazing energy, the movement was challenging yet soothing and the music was great. Exactly what I needed after a long day dealing with egos and strong personalities at the office. A total unwind.

    Chiseled on the spot

A good full body workout. All strength based, no cardio outside of the warmup. Wish there was more time for transitions though - 12 seconds isn’t enough time to rack weights, transition stations and pick up new weights - especially when there’s many beginners in the class.

Amazing class but I wish it was offered as an early morning (7 am or 8 am) throughout the week- not everyone can wake up and run or do cardio that early before work. This would be the perfect class to take at that time. Also could be 45 min classes too

    Hump Day Pump Day

A good workout/strength class but it wasn’t my best experience at One Academy. A lot of time is lost for the explanation, the circuit of 10-15 exercises is only explained at the start of the class and there are no written outlines to remind you what to do throughout. Also, there weren’t many modifications offered and the ones that were offered were still quite advanced. It is still a friendly environment.

This class is no joke! This class is tough but manageable and the real deal. Feels like you have a personal trainer in a small group setting! You do a series of workout stations with a partner and do 4 sets of exercises for 30 seconds each. They might be squats, lunges, pulling a huge thing across the floor, etc. People in the class seemed to be regulars and they were totally welcoming and supportive. This was a really good class overall, and the instructor was welcoming and upbeat. This is a strength-based class with virtually no cardio, and it is heavily focussed on upper body exercises on this day. I wish however that this class was longer than 45 minutes, because 10-15 minutes is lost from the explanation, warm up, and cool down so it makes for a very short workout.

I would give it a 3.5 but it doesn't allow half stars. I found this class to be simple and suitable for people who would like an easy practice but I would prefer to have more deeper stretches (the other Yin and restorative did incorporate more stretching and deeper poses so I guess it depends on the instructor). Also like mentioned before, the music on the room over was blasting upbeat workout music which to me was disruptive to a Yin class.
