FUSION - at FREE SPACE - 68 Claremont St.

Inspiring. 50 women coordinated in their “ha”. Think - yoga moves, not in vinyasa, add weighted Pilates ball in squats for cardio, nice loud spiritual music and motivational lead with Amber. But I would have preferred a shorter introductory talk at the beginning and longer work out. 15 min was a bit long. Perhaps saving it for the chavassanah at the end. Will come again.

    Bikini Boot Camp

I knew I was in trouble when I saw Kacie's arms- she is so ripped! The class was hard, really hard. She mixed cardio, weights, the rubber band, abs and kettle bells in alternating exercises. Expect a ton of squats, lunges, burpees and arm weight exercises. I work out a lot but not a ton of boot camp classes, and I know I won't be walking normally all week. Excellent way to start the week by burning off the weekend excesses. My only complaint is there wasn't much end of class stretching. Will definitely be back.

A good workout/strength class but it wasn’t my best experience at One Academy. A lot of time is lost for the explanation, the circuit of 10-15 exercises is only explained at the start of the class and there are no written outlines to remind you what to do throughout. Regular instructor didnt show up but Mike came pretty fast to replace him. Intense class, combos of 6-7 moves which can get pretty confusing if youre a newbie. Cold, lemon-scented towels are a nice touch but lots of plastic wrappers being used. And while free cold water bottles are a great touch, that again, is a ton more plastic waste. Lose the bottled water and encourage people to use water bottles as they have a filtered water station. Great work out and good swear. Youll be sore after!
