    TRAINxCARDIO

You will leave this class red-faced, sweaty and gasping for air, no matter what your fitness level. The class has a supportive community atmosphere and is never dull. Those who have CrossFit / rowing, andheavy HIIT training experience will fare better here than those who favor dance, running and barre classes like I do. But with this type of variable interval training, even the weak limbed and uncoordinated, will find at least one of twelve circuit stations where they excel!

I feel like alex is a hidden gem amongst the exhale instructors - he consistently brings a thorough + incredibly challenging profile with an extensive arm series and longer thighs than most...think we covered 6 different positions today! I will say though that this studio needs far better air circulation - I was literally dripping all throughout class as I do when doing true cardio, never barre or pilates.

Jill was great - plenty of long holds (those dolphins!) mixed with flow, and then some inversions at the end of class. The studio is no-frills by nyc standards, but they have 4 or 5 showers and a big locker room, and the studio space itself is wonderful (and hot :). The front desk person was very welcoming and friendly- she gave a brief tour of the facility. Its a little odd as far as the setup I think theres a chiropractor who shares the space? I found Erica to be very knowledgeable and really had an understanding of the body and how every move was suppose to work each muscle group. It was a solid class although not something that I would say was exceptionally challenging. Erica made adjustments and spent time with each student during each exercise to correct form and give feedback. Music was old school soul and 80s pop/ which I loved. I would take the class again.

    Cardio Kick/Strength Build

A hidden gem of a gorgeous, super clean, and well stocked personal training and small group class studio in the heart of Midtown, i.e. in the lower east 50s, where there aren’t nearly enough boutique gyms in my humble opinion. Iman was so kind, generous, knowledgeable and accommodating... challenging me every step of the way, while catering the workout to my needs and current ability level. You will be hard pressed to find personalized workouts like this anywhere else in Manhattan. I left feeling sore (in a good way), sweaty, confident and accomplished. Great to try for any fitness level, especially if you have some kinks in your form/ fitness regimen that you suspected need addressing but weren’t sure how or who to ask.

Deep Tissue Indulgence Massage (50 Minutes)

One of the best massages I’ve ever had thanks to Claudia’s expert knowledge of physiology and thoughtful efforts to customize and address my problem areas. Really loved her attention to details that elevated the whole experience, like starting with a little aromatherapy by having me breathe deeply as she wafted some spearmint oil by my head and later using an amazing soothing had pillow and eye blind to put me in a deep relaxation cocoon. I walked in all hunched over and tight from stress and walked out feeling taller and lighter and completely chilled out. Super gratitude moment for people like Claudia who put so much into making others feel better!

    Prenatal Massage (50 Minutes)

Claudia was super nice. Massage was relaxing. I normally get very hard pressure so this was a nice change. Massage chair doesn’t have a hole for your stomach though.

    EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) Workout

Its pretty great. 20 min equals roughly an hours work out. Takes a few sessions to get used to and hard to feel like anythings getting worked. But was soooo sore the days following I new it was on point! Wouldnt advise doing it to much but mixed in with classes its feels like a great buffer. Jacob is a sweet heart.

    SkinFit Microcurrent Facial

Silvia was amazing! So gentle with my skin. She helped me understand why certain treatments wouldn’t be right for me. I saw instant results with the microcurrent facial. And the front desk staff couldn’t have been nicer.
