Holy moly what an amazing class, perhaps the hardest P57 I've ever taken in my 4 years at the studio. Todds thighs section was absolutely relentless, glutes got fired up immediately in standing pretzel, and he incorporated the band + ball for abs (no mat or barre) which added a new spin on really targeted the muscles in such a challenging manner. Loved his attention to detail + constant correction of student form.

    SWERVE RIDE

Pros: Jason is amazing. Playlist, personality, encouragement.... its all good Cons: the resistance on the bike is SO inconsistent. I turn the dial like 5 times and the gauge goes up from by maybe 1 but then toggles between 3 numbers yet turn off the resistance by like a half turn and all of a sudden you go from 6 to 2, its a little frustrating. Doesnt stop me from getting a great workout but I just wish it were more attuned to how much youre actually turning the dial.

Great class! I have not been to Exhale in a while because I found the classes not as challenging and some were slow and boring. I decided to try again and Kelseys class was chalenging in a good way. Not too fast and not too slow but no time to think between poses and exercises. The pace was comsistent throughout the class and followed the beat of the music. Wish she taught more classes!

    Pure Reform (50 Mins)

Reform is such an amazing workout, amping up classic in the best way possible - I consider this style to be more advanced, since it requires a different level of balance, coordination + definitely targets the muscles more aggressively with the bungees and gliders vs the ball / tube in classic. Shocked there weren’t more ppl in class bc Caroline is a wonderful instructor, always finding interesting + creative ways to incorporate upper body work during thighs, and hitting the core non stop. Wish the thigh section was a bit longer today, but otherwise zero complaints or critiques which is a rarity for me!

Great class and great instructor. It was definitely more body weight drills and sprints than weights—the weighted work consisted mostly of the barbell move of the day. There was less rest than at tone house, but I also felt like the intensity/force required was not as high. So whatever your preference is. Good high intensity cardio/sprint workout for sure.

Jill was great - plenty of long holds (those dolphins!) mixed with flow, and then some inversions at the end of class. The front desk person was very welcoming and friendly- she gave a brief tour of the facility. Its a little odd as far as the setup I think theres a chiropractor who shares the space? I found Erica to be very knowledgeable and really had an understanding of the body and how every move was suppose to work each muscle group. It was a solid class although not something that I would say was exceptionally challenging. Erica made adjustments and spent time with each student during each exercise to correct form and give feedback. Music was old school soul and 80s pop/ which I loved. I would take the class again.

A hidden gem of a gorgeous, super clean, and well stocked personal training and small group class studio in the heart of Midtown, i.e. in the lower east 50s, where there aren’t nearly enough boutique gyms in my humble opinion. Iman was so kind, generous, knowledgeable and accommodating... challenging me every step of the way, while catering the workout to my needs and current ability level. You will be hard pressed to find personalized workouts like this anywhere else in Manhattan. I left feeling sore (in a good way), sweaty, confident and accomplished. Great to try for any fitness level, especially if you have some kinks in your form/ fitness regimen that you suspected need addressing but weren’t sure how or who to ask.

One of the best massages I’ve ever had thanks to Claudia’s expert knowledge of physiology and thoughtful efforts to customize and address my problem areas. Really loved her attention to details that elevated the whole experience, like starting with a little aromatherapy by having me breathe deeply as she wafted some spearmint oil by my head and later using an amazing soothing had pillow and eye blind to put me in a deep relaxation cocoon. I walked in all hunched over and tight from stress and walked out feeling taller and lighter and completely chilled out. Wonderful class! There is focus on form and placement and Anna gives great individual corrections. While I would consider this a beginner class it’s not an intro or very basic class - knowledge of ballet terminology and some experience are helpful. Anna is very welcoming though and does seem to tailor the class for the level of students.

    Prenatal Massage (50 Minutes)

Claudia was super nice. Massage was relaxing. I normally get very hard pressure so this was a nice change. Massage chair doesn’t have a hole for your stomach though.

    GROOV3 w/ Marnita

I’M IN LOVE WITH THIS CLASS! The instructor Marnita had the best energy and the atmosphere was just fantastic! She made us all feel so comfortable, I was able to let loose and have so much fun. The format of how the hip-hop routine is taught is really unique - we’re moving non-stop from the beginning of class to the end to different tempos, which makes for great cardio! I learn so much better here than I do in any other dance class! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR EVERYONE!
