    Julianne was awesome. Class was challenging for even seasoned barre folks and Julianne helped correct our form. I just wish I could see the instructor doing everything properly is my only thing - need to see by example, which is hard work floor work. Highly suggest beginners come early to know what the format of the class is going to be like and to bring / buy grippy socks!

    Wow! First time here. Love Marcia and this studio. Marcia was attentive and gave myself and others adjustments. Like how she warmed up with the smaller moves to get the right muscles firing. The studio is beautiful- in an industrial building with super high ceilings and the music has a funky beat to workout to. Now i totally get why everyone talks about NY Pilates!

    This was my first boxing class, which I mentioned when I checked in & the studio manager and class instructor, Mike, were both great about giving me instruction. Awesome hip-hop playlist - Mike had us matching our moves with the music tempo. Super sweaty workout with great intensity. Boxing drills mixed w some plyo metrics and ab work at the end. Find a partner who is at your level. I recommend getting to class early because there was a line to get our hands wrapped. Also, be prepared to purchase wraps $10-15. Gloves and mats were still sweaty from previous users, but I'm not a germophobe.

    I really love this nyp studio. It’s so gorg. I only take their burnout classes bc I don’t find them too challenging so I worry the aaa classes will be too easy for me. This class was really good just a little too short for me. We ended after like 47 minutes and I wish we could’ve done more leg movements like lunges. But this class has a great ab and plank focus which I love and is why I keep coming back. Just for this price I want a class that’s longer.

    Slow-Burn

    As a beginner to hot yoga, this was the perfect class. I felt like the vinyasa flows were a bit too fast but it was nice that we were given time to flow on our own. Sam came around and provided adjustments. The restorative section was just what I needed after a week of intense strength and cardio workouts and feeling sore. The heat works so well with the sequences. My spine feels so much better. To think I was going to pay for an infrared sauna session to get the effects that I got in this class! I wish this class lasted even longer! Bring lots of water and a towel.

    Tyler is awesome. I usually go to 5:30 because I get out of work early on Thur and its usually small and intimate with lots of personal attention. He really emphasizes good form and technique to get he most out of your workout. I was lucky because we did some one on one pad work which was fun. The hour passed so fast. $2 rental for gloves and wraps. Water fountain available. Muay Thai is definitely a full body workout. Facilities are great! Three showers in the womens restroom with towels and nice products. Very clean. Lockers are outside in a communal area. Love beating up bishop!

    Pilates is a lot harder than it looks. Especially if you are very thoughtful about it and do it properly. this worked muscles other workouts neglect, sych as hamstrings, and smaller more subtle muscles in the core. It is a very core intensive workout. I have done to beginner classes one with Katherine and one with Sean. Sean's was a little bit harder, but they were both very good introductory classes. If you have never done Pilates, or haven't done it in a long time, you should definitely take this beginner class. the SOHO Studio is beautiful, but I found the Greenwich Village Studio a little more welcoming

The folks at the studio were really lovely, the studio was cool, particularly the blacklight, mats and towels are included, they have an innovative studio entry / exit system, nice showers, all of it. I didnt love the hip hop during class - never enjoy that during yoga - but otherwise quite good. The flow was FAST. Very fast. Gotta know what youre doing. Also, the room felt hotter than your average hot yoga studio.

    Danbi was super welcoming as I came early and she showed me around. She talked to me about her journey and told me a few important things that would be happening before the class. Before the class started we went over a few key moves and things to know about the reformer. Class was DIFFICULT and I’ve done classes like Tone House and other intense HIIT classes. I loved challenging myself in a different way today and even though the music wasn’t my vibe the workout and Danbi definitely were. Even if you’re new to workout don’t feel bad about taking a pause when your muscle is about to cramp because it’s a community of people at different levels but I saw many people stopping at a point. I will hands down be back for another challenge!
