    The Victoria/Bryan experience is really incomparable. They are so encouraging, creating a really welcoming space and dishing out fist bumps from time to time. I haven't done HIIT in a l o n g time and was initially scared for the class, but because you can control your own pace and how much you want to push yourself, the workout was manageable and definitely a goood sweat sesh.     Jia Wei was great! He demonstrated all the moves and encouraged us as we went along. The workout won’t be too difficult for you if you work out regularly. If it’s your first time boxing, I’ll recommend coming earlier to walk through the basic moves. The floor is rather rough so wear tights. Floor work included burpees, plank jacks, Russian twists, etc. I’ll be back!

    Metabolic Meltdown

    This is the first class Ive attended at Core Collective that I feel I might come back for. Kenneth is very friendly and genuine and he makes an effort to keep everyone motivated, which was really nice. The workout itself was a little squat-heavy but maybe thats what he was going for.     15 minutes of bounce followed by 30 minutes of barre in a different room. Personally felt that the switch was a bit disjointed and there wasn’t enough time for bounce - perhaps might be better if the studio could extend to an hour long class? But the studio was super clean and enjoyed the class nonetheless!

    Mindfulness

    This is my first time to LEVEL and a mindfulness class and it was a great experience! Michelle has a kind and affable personality so it makes it easier to relax during the session. She shared some insights on mindfulness and we went through a breathing exercise, body scan and ended with meditation. It was nice of her to check in after each exercise to see how I was feeling. I had insomnia the night before and this class really helped to calm my mind. Thank you!

    Really love the structure of the class, instructor is friendly and pushed us sufficiently hard!! Love the refreshing warm up of running outdoors. A bit of group/pair work but it’s not forced, and the community is really welcoming as well. I feel energised after the class! Only feedback would be that certain stations feel more important than others because they’re used as a benchmark to complete the rounds... maybe a more consistent way of switching would be more motivating (like timing?).

Piloxing is generally a fun mix of standing pilates and fast-paced boxing.     Class size was a small group of 6, and even though Im an absolute beginner with no experience on the wall, CY was very encouraging and only made us do what we were comfortable in, encouraging but not pushing. The small class size was great in ensuring that sufficient attention was given to everyone. Would strongly recommend to even absolute beginners who want to try out bouldering! Even someone who cant do a pull up can do it, definitely give it a go! Recommended to wear tights as I had some abrasion on my wrist and scuffings on my tights.

    Small class and Janet was great! It was quite an intense class with the combination of boxing and HIIT (mostly died trying to recover from the boxing during the HIIT part!!). Wouldnt say its easy at all for beginners but for someone who hasnt exercised in years and is new to boxing, I survived! Also, theres parking along the roadside if you go early in the morning.     Jayne is a lovely instructor - firm, somewhat no-nonsense style yet gentle and generous with guiding the students into the correct postures. Her demonstrations of some slightly more complex poses (from a beginner's perspective) were clear, and she took pains to go step by step for the benefit of the newbies. It could be that the class was really small that day (only 4 attendees), but Jayne allocated personal attention to each one of us to ensure we were in the correct postures.     BOUNCE FIT ABT

    The instructor was quite encouraging, and the bouncing around on trampolines was fun. Class was pretty intense, medium-high intense for some. We did drills like planks, shuttle runs, knee tucks etc. in sets on trampolines. Ended up feeling tired, but motivated after instructor did a debrief with us. Maybe can consider this for cardio/slight strength next time. Enjoyed the free bouncing time.
