see all reviewsThe class was divided into halves. The first half of the class was cardio workout with combat moves. The second half was karv techniques. Both the instructors, Amit and Brenda, were extremely involved in mentoring each and every individual. They would review forms, styles, postures etc. to ensure you’re doing it the right way. Overall, the place had a great vibe too. Definitely going there again.

see all reviewsHaving gone to this class a couple times already, I love how each class is different and the instructor teaches new things every class. Sometimes the combos can be tricky, but it is never overwhelming and it is really gratifying to feel like I am improving. The small class size is a plus and the instructor isn't afraid to call out your technique if you are doing something wrong. Definitely recommend especially if you want to get better at kickboxing and Muay Thai!

I recommend you have some yoga experience before taking a 60 min version because the poses go quickly. The room gets very hot so be prepared with a mat towel. I recommend this studio if bikram is your style!

see all reviewsThis gym has a very kind, strong, family oriented environment! I’m a complete beginner at boxing (no prior experience whatsoever, let alone be in a gym) and I received tons of useful insight, advice, and lots of love from all the members of the gym when I asked for help. I will say that if you are a beginner with no experience, this gym may not be for you unless you are willing to step out of your comfort zone to gain knowledge of the environment and to reach out for help. There was no orientation leading into my class so I constantly had to ask multiple members for direction about what was going on and what to even do. The first 30 minutes was a warm-up cardio, the next 45-ish minutes were shadow boxing, and then finally a cool down cardio session. My biggest advice, if you do choose to attend this gym, is to be bold, ASK FOR HELP (everyone is so willing to help you as long as you speak up!!!), and be willing to work and learn!

see all reviewsAs a woman, I was initially hesitant to sign up for the Saturday morning 2 hour “combat fitness” class, but Coach Gen and the community he has built are so enormously welcoming! And I was initially a bit worried when he gave me the tour of the space and said and oh the tree outside is where people sometimes puke. But I was relieved when I discovered that 80% of the class was other women, and the vibe is very supportive and encouraging! The first hour of the class is cardio and strength training (with 20+ lb weights), the second hour is full body contact sparring. I’d done mitt work at other boxing gyms, but I understand how much more real it is now when you’re actually kicking and punching others… and receiving kicks & punches. In short, if you want to get in great shape while also learning real Muay Thai technique and sequences in situations that mimic actual fighting, Coach Gen has created a special space for everyone to feel welcome. Highly recommend this studio!
