IN PERSON: Intro to Dance and Ballet

Was very fast paced considering it is meant to be a beginner class. I did dance as a kid so I had some basis for what to do, but she didn’t even talk about foot or arm position or proper posture until I asked if I was in the wrong level. After checking she told me some people stay in that class for roughly 9 months before progressing to beginner, so keep that in mind.

Great first class- so empowering in an all women group! Saori was an incredible teacher and made everything so easy to follow and fun :) I was nervous because I don’t really dance formally, but this was the best experience. Will definitely be back.

    Power Yoga [All Levels]

Maria's classes are always challenging me to the next level! We did a combo of beginner and advanced poses but you can always modify and there's no shame.

    Open Level Jazz

Open Jazz had a warm up and dance that they’ve been working on the last few weeks. I’d rate the class more as intermediate/advanced but it was tons of fun with no pressure to perform super well. Ana had great energy and was helpful throughout! If you need to go over certain parts, you have to be proactive and ask because she often is doing the dance with us so she doesn’t see much of the areas we struggle with. Overall, great experience! I would definitely want to come back again and possibly warm up with the class before (turns).

    Hatha Yoga In Studio

I’m not sure this was hatha yoga, as the class was half exercise band strength stuff, but whatever it is YOU NEED IT. You never knew you were so weak until your arms have been worked for 3 minutes! All the things your PT/doc wished you would do regularly. Recommend.

    Yoga Sculpt

Yoga sculpt with Eka was FABULOUS! So fun! And I promise you, as a baseline, I don’t say that about exercising. The class is rooted in yoga but you can feel the dance influence even in the flow… and is there any cardio better than dancing? Even if you have never done any Latin-style dancing and feel a little silly doing it: F-U-N. Eka is lovely, upbeat, and encouraging. The only con is that, unlike yoga-only studios, people wear shoes across the floor because they teach a lot of dance classes. Eka’s class is good enough for me to let that go. Yoga mats are washable; good teachers and fitness classes are hard to find! 5 stars.

Damon is a teacher that actually helps you get better! It’s not just a work out ballet class for adults. He will give your corrections and challenge you while allowing you to enjoy yourself. Highly recommended! And he’s also funny, which adds even more to the class!
