    Ballet Basics (All Levels)

Issana and the other class members were really inviting. Issana gave good instruction and form corrections, and is a great encourager. I grew up in ballet, so it felt great to get back to basics. For those who need to change (there’s just one bathroom, and no showers), or who need to find parking (street parking only), be sure to give yourself enough time.

    Beginner Bungee Workout

Fun! If youre new to bungee, definitely take this beginner class that covers the basic skills. Instructors were very welcoming and patient. Surprisingly, it was a good workout even though it didnt feel terribly strenuous- I walked out good & sweaty. Class starts with a brief warmup before putting on the bungee harness (jog, shuffle and power skips). Then, you put in special shorts (reminded me of neoprene hot shorts) before being fit with the harness. The instructors help you put on the harness, make sure your bungee is the right length setting, and strap you in. Then, you learn various skills that are built gradually into choreography to a song. It took some getting used to, but was a lot of fun once I learned to trust the bungee. Class ended with a short cool-down stretch. Get there 15-20 minutes early your first time to read and sign a release (yes, the release does allow studio right to video you, which previous reviewer must not have noticed?). Looking forward to next time!

    Divine Flexibility

This is an awesome class. There is very little to no passive stretching, but rather detailed conditioning (especially core and glutes) to prepare your body to go into splits in a supported and healthy manner. I would do it three times a week if it was offered!

    Buti Yoga (Yoga Tribal Dance)

I havent had so much fun in a fitness class in a while! This class was amazing and unlike anything else I have taken in Seattle. Take a minute to YouTube a video of Buti, so you know what youre getting yourself into. If you are not open minded and/or comfortable with your femininity, then you will probably not like this class as much. But Kayla is a wonderful teacher and beautiful soul. Bring your own yoga mat. Be ready for hip hop/rap music and some fun, disco party lights. And hopefully you fall in love with it, and yourself. <3

Instead of giving a grumpy face when the instructor wants the room to sing along with the song, i would have loved it if he just sang louder to show what he wanted.
