see all reviewsThis class was a serious workout. Elements from both Pilates and Yoga were utilized. Carrie used a lot of slow and pulsing movements to light our muscles on fire. She would talk us through the exercises and we would repeat for 3 or 4 circuits, depending on the movements. The cardio elements are low impact, and she provided modification instructions when we did exercises such as jump squats, push-ups and burpees. I'm done classes, abs can be forgotten but not here! Overall a GREAT class that is difficult no matter your level of fitness. I will definitely be back.

see all reviewsThe facilities and studio are pretty amazing! This studio has many positives, but overall the spin class isnt my ideal format, so I probably wont be a regular. This format focuses on RPMs and zones, and this is not a rhythm based dance on your bike class. Pros: - amazing bikes! - clean/modern studio - great amenities (showers, changing rooms, water stations, great towels) - friendly and informative staff who focus on form and technique - techy interactive spin format (there are large screens in the front of the studio that display your zone) Cons: - One of the studios regulars is a man who aggressively grunts and growls throughout the entire class. The instructor encourages this behavior. I am certain this loud grunting and growling was bothering and disturbing most of the class. - the music choices were fine but not ideal for spin. We listened to Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the like. Overall, the music was not that motivating.

Christina’s energy and guidance was great for the class and I appreciated her correction in form. Not to mention, I’m amazed at the intensity of the workout I got in such a short amount of time! And if the weight is too heavy for people to perform the exercises correctly, then don’t goad us for being uncommitted, but encourage a modification or lower weight. Core40 should only be taken by people who already understand proper form and alignment, otherwise injuries are likely.

He helped me get set up and gave me general guidance on what to expect. He was also very clear throughout class and gave several hands-on or verbal adjustments that helped with my posture. Only note is for the studio - the mats were super slick like the cleaning solution was making the mats more slippery than normal. I'll wear grippy socks next time but hope this gets resolved!
