    Fly 45

Second spin class of my life and first at flywheel (after finding soul cycle to be ) and it was actually great! I was consistently 10rpm below what Lauren called out, but she was a motivating teacher with a good playlist regardless (and didn't use the board much, thankfully). Spacious studio too, with good accommodations for newcomers. Now if only spin classes would ditch the dumb arm "workouts" they offer...

Jillian is one of my favorite workouts in DC. After coming to her for a few months this last class was the hardest yet. Way to mix it up: she knows when to give instruction, encouragement and a push, and when to let everyone focus into her awesome playlist. She doesnt over-talk the class. And today I am sore - other barre classes no longer make me sore.

Marisa is the best instructor at either DC location and I've had most of them. She is encouraging, is clear in her direction, has amazing music and the moves are always innovative and different than your typical barre class.

    Off-Peak Full Body

Wow! This class was killer. Josh was great- super friendly and hands on. Very motivating! He took the time before class to thoroughly show me the machine and the correct form for positions we would frequently be doing. The music is loud which I didnt love but I never had a problem hearing him. Cant wait to come back

Hard but fun class! Instructor had a lot of energy. Cyclebar is one of those studios that do have arm work on the bike but I like how this instructor used the arm workout lightly and had more emphasis on legs, endurance, and athletics on the bike.

This was a relatively more chill class then other spin classes I've taken, but I liked it a lot! Hannah was super encouraging and fun. I liked that she gave the class a couple minutes to do their own thing and she had good choreography and music

This was a great class! Challenging but everyone was pretty nice and encouraging. I was definitely feeling it after, but I like that they have different levels and modifications for each exercise so you can challenge yourself but you also don't feel pressured to go crazy like some CrossFit places.

    Bhakti Vinyasa Intermediate Level

Wow that was hard and good. This place is way more yoga than most places in DC, less fitness oriented (although this vinyasa 2 class was no joke), but not "more yoga than thou"like some places. It's more into cultivating the space yoga can bring to your life. Plus: this seems to be the most friendly studio I've been too, both the teachers and students ( although yoga district is a close second!).

Elizabeth is a great instructor. She gave clear cues and excellent personalized corrections. The lockers in the studio are realllllly small and I will never understand why there is carpet in the room, but gave this one 5 stars for the instructor. Workout was moderate level and more dancey. Not as tough as fly barre.

    Reformer III (Advance)

Really enjoyed this class! The class was challenging, but Karla also has a calming way about her. The studio is small (4 reformers--which, by the way, are not raised from the floor as they usually are in my experience), and the class I attended actually only had 2/4 spots taken. Because of that, I feel like I got a lot of personalized corrections and a better workout.

I hadn’t done a barbell class in awhile, but luckily the class was very small and I was able to work one on one with the instructor to ensure my form was correct. Most people were regulars and were lifting heavy, but if you’re not easily intimidated it can be a fun class.
