Elizabeth is one of the best coaches on Classpass. MRUC is all about perceived effort rather than numbers, which I love. Elizabeth was great at giving cues and and encouragement. Like most people, I didnt think that paying to run on a treadmill would be valuable, but now Im sold. Whether youre looking to add some more cardio into your workout regime, training for a race, or just looking to let go of your day to day stresses, you can find that here. I get the same type of meditative benefits as I do with spin class but with the added bonus of getting a really intense workout. The music is amazing as well. The only suggestion I have is more empowering music and less techno (which personally doesnt do anything for me). It was my first class but Im coming back for sure. Thanks Elizabeth!

    Switch Playground Class

Great concept for a class, but time is often wasted because trainers dont demonstrate the moves quickly enough, or they demonstrate it while you are in the middle of another workout, forcing you to stop the current workout you are doing to watch. Dont like how the trainers dance around you/wish there was more guidance on weights and band resistance. Overall it was a good workout though and I left sweaty.

    Switch Playground Class

This might be the most entertaining class in NYC and perfect if you have workout ADD since its about 20 different stations for two minutes each. The trainers do a great job demonstrating the moves and keeping things moving. Youll sometimes lose a few seconds waiting for a demo but to avoid this, it helps to look at the station right after hours while you are at your own station so that you can anticipate whats next.

Roberto is hilarious and will crack you up! Always love the burn class you will be sweating, out of breath, and the next day you will still feel the burn. We used the ugi ball a lot today which I like. It's soft. Lots of modifications. Again don't love when instructors video you for their social media without asking. Ben is so great. He talks about form in a really helpful way, in order to help you become more efficient. Also he speaks in his normal voice, which I'm finding is becoming more and more of a rarity with flywheel instructors- so many of them are talking in this husky Susan Powter voice that is not only weird but also makes it so difficult to understand the cues. But not Ben! Ben is boss. Clear, warm, energetic, fun!

Great class - its hot yoga in a dark candlelit room, its trendy, you do 3 flows, and it includes a bunch of ab work too. Youll be sweating. My only wish would be that there were other options for the 3rd flow (which at least was the most challenging for this class) that didnt involve balancing on one leg or doing a handstand - both of which my uncoordinated self struggles with :) It would be great to have more beginner level options for those more advanced moves.

Burns so good - there is absolutely nothing like the megaformer, regardless of how much HIIT, Bootcamp, running, lifting, TRX, etc that you do. With the lagree method, you’re moving slowly through each movement, constantly staying in the work, therefore working the main muscle groups as well as all of the smaller supportive ones + twitch fibers, resulting in an immediate increase in heart rate + sweat. You should be dripping during this class. And jay is hands down my top instructor here - he doesn’t let anyone slack off + creates non stop, super challenging profiles.

This was my first boxing class, which I mentioned when I checked in & the studio manager and class instructor, Mike, were both great about giving me instruction. Awesome hip-hop playlist - Mike had us matching our moves with the music tempo. Super sweaty workout with great intensity. Boxing drills mixed w some plyo metrics and ab work at the end. Find a partner who is at your level. I recommend getting to class early because there was a line to get our hands wrapped. Also, be prepared to purchase wraps $10-15. Hot damn - that class was incredible! Definitely one of my faves in the course of a few years that I’ve been coming to Brick. Not sure if it was due in part to having the energy of a completely full class, but the 9 min (3 moves x 3) EMOM at each station was a perfectly challenging block of time with a well chosen variety of movements + goals/target range for each: 1) Run .2, 8/8 renegade rows, 10/10 snatches 2) Row 12 cals, 8/8 cossack squats, 15 plate overhead strap fit leg sit-ups 3) ski erg 12 cals, 15 v ups, 8 x 1 push-up + 2 Mtn climbers 4) bike 15 cals, 20 SDLHP, 20 Squat jumps. To up the ante, I opted for KB lateral lunges instead of Cossack + did goblet squats instead of the jumps, so I will be feeling all the soreness tomorrow!

    Fly 60

Brandon's music choice isn't the best out of the instructors I've been to, but he has great energy and thought on his feet when his music started having technical difficulties at the end. 60 minute classes are great for hitting PR

    Abs & Ass (60 Minutes)

Butchered me. Charlie is one of the more firm instructors here, and will not hesitate to tell the entire class they are doing moves wrong. Recommend if you like this sort of instructing style. Did two rounds of each floor and tread today, with a short round tread first, then a longer one.

Kaity is the yoga teacher you need and want. She gets down and practices with you, she gently reminds you to do what's best for your body each day, she corrects your form so you feel the benefits of the practice, and she does it all with a soothing and encouraging vibe that creates a supportive room. Love her class so hard.

    tangerine flow

Was in the hood after work and tried this studio out for thefirst time. Nice large clean heated studio. Vinyasa flow. Clear instruction. Free bath towel and Manduku mat usage. Although matts were a bit stinky so if it bothers you bring your own. They also have yoga sticky towels for rent. $3. Filtered water fountain. Small changing area with only one bathroom no showers. They give you a cold eucalyptus towel at the end which is really refreshing. Will definitely be back.
