Instructor had so much energy! Great vibe in the class, but I was totally lost, as the choreography moved fast. Need to take the Essentials class to practice the steps. :) Beautiful studio, art, light, & such variety of dance classes... love ODC.

    SCULPT Full Body

Whit was personable and encouraging, only feedback for us beginners would be to have different resistance suggestions. I was pushing so hard at some weights I almost hurt myself vs being in correct form. Maybe I'm just weak though!

    Vinyasa Flow All Levels

This was the first class I really enjoyed at this studio. I appreciated the fast pace of Chelseah's class and worked up a good sweat (also the room is very warm.) My only critique is that it's hard to give adjustments when we're moving so fast so I wasn't always sure if my positions were right.

    Cycle + TRX

Lots of personalized attention (brought me a towel, checked my alignment on the bike twice). The cycling is less about fast changes between standing and sitting and more about sustaining faster rpm in chunks of 3 min at a time. Shannon carefully chose the trx moves to perfectly complement the muscles we needs to open in spinning.

    Total Body Burn

One of the best classes I've been to at Burn. The instructor realized I was new(er) when I was having trouble setting up my station before class. He helped me get set up and gave me general guidance on what to expect. He was also very clear throughout class and gave several hands-on or verbal adjustments that helped with my posture. Only note is for the studio - the mats were super slick like the cleaning solution was making the mats more slippery than normal. I'll wear grippy socks next time but hope this gets resolved!

Steve is just the awesomest instructor for this class. I have and will continue to come when others are leading, but when he teaches, the class is harder (I think he keeps the reps moving faster), and yet somehow the hour seems to go by more quickly. thanks, Steve, for another great class!

    Level 1/2

Enjoyed this class! Was also really digging the mature vibe of this studio Might be tough for beginners (read: those totally new to yoga) because it moves at a relatively quick pace and there are many options for more advanced postures. Would definitely say advanced beginners and up should give it a go though.

I had been to this studio under previous ownership and I don't care for the front section of the space so I was relieved this class was in the larger back area of the studio. The person at the front desk was welcoming, Denis immediately introduced himself, and another instructor who was using the space before we got started also introduced himself. The 2 dogs milling around the studio didn't seem to care about me one way or another but I tried not to take it personally. ;) Denis was a great instructor. He knew everyone's name, gave consistent positive feedback, and helped everyone with their form. It was a challenging class but I left feeling accomplished because of the positive environment.

    Functional Strength Training

I liked it. I'd give it a 7-8/10 in terms of physical intensity. It was a small group (7 people) and I liked that a lot, and felt pretty welcoming and friendly. Then we proceeded to do groups of 4 sets of exercises - alternating between two exercises, 4 sets each, then do another set of 4-4, and ending with some core. I got pretty sweaty and definitely feel all the lunges and squats we did (I like that they have a stronger emphasis than most on those). Very nice facilities, bathroom was nice and they have a shower. The space is a little cramped but given the exercises we did it was fine. Overall had a fun experience getting a good workout.

She was such a great instructor and for someone who does strength training and intense cardio during the week, I thought that this would be a easygoing day workout. Well I was wrong as it was definitely challenging and you can tell she is a personal trainer because she pushes you until the brink of exhaustion but I really enjoyed it and had a great time working out in the sun in dolores park.
