    Power Vinyasa Flow

Good basic yoga class. Reminded me of the old days when yoga didn’t have to be to the beat, didn’t have to be a workout and was usually quirky. Quirky because you literally have to go through the back hall of a dental office to get to the studio. I was putting on my shoes and a dental assistant literally had to say excuse me to get to a tray of dental impressions. Quirky!

    Beginner Kickboxing

Class is done barefoot in a spacious padded room. Bring your own wraps and gloves, or buy/rent a set from them. Lots of emphasis on correct form for the beginner class, which I really appreciated. We learned the six basic punches and a kick. Music was a little too loud at times to hear instructors.

    Core Interval

Katie was friendly and explained the exercises well. Good workout, although I wish the class was a little longer (there is a brief warmup, about 30 minutes of work, then brief cool down) - I would prefer a 60 minute class so we could fit in 45 minutes if work

So I would normally be upset but I didn’t realize I was not going to see Amy tonight but I made an exception because Victoria was just so pleasant as soon as I walked in, she made me feel very welcomed and comfortable and reassuring that I decided to stay. And I had so much fun tonight that I will definitely be coming back and trying another class of hers sometime. She made it super fun and challenging, it was different and she was really funny, shes just super personable and I think her and Amy are my two favorite instructors now at the studio!

Nigel, your energy and spirit was infectious and so inspiring!!!! You made me workout harder and you made it FUN. Loved your playlist and will definitely make it a point to catch you teaching more often. Core40, do NOT lose this guy!!!

    C2 - CorePower Yoga 2: Temporarily Unheated

I really liked that this class was unheated, it was still 85 degrees and sweaty, but not like the normal classes which I think are too hot and humid. I also liked that this instructor wasnt cheesy and had her own style. I get bored when the classes and instructors are cookie cutter. Please have more unheated C2 classes

    CoreAlign

It was fun and interesting to work on the Core Align equipment. If you’ve worked on a reformer, you pick it up quickly. But it has more stability challenges and proper form is essential. A lot of the movements are pretty subtle. I have an injury, and Janine was super attentive. She led a class with a variety of exercises to work the entire body. As it was my first time, I think I spent more time figuring out the form for each exercise which meant that I could do fewer reps. For many of the exercises, I would have liked more reps to really feel the work in the appropriate muscles. Janine is super knowledgeable!
