    I always like crunch classes if you have a couple extra credits because the people are so nice and the atmosphere is casual. The instructor was really clear and easy to follow along with. This is a great low impact class if you’re in need of something lighter. A heads up, it’s only 30 minutes though if that matters to you.

    I thought I was in shape until this class. I usually work out 3 days a week doing HIIT classes, but this one kicked by butt. Super fast paced class with no breaks.! Expect to do high reps counts of exercises like lunges, squats, deadlifts, rows, tricep extensions etc with weights in hand and cardio bursts of jumping jacks, high knees, burpees, skiers and squat jumps. FYI, no locks for lockers so you have to bring your own or find a place to stash it in the workout studio room. Class size tonight was around 25 people.

    Nicole is the best. Knows how to challenge her students and keep her classes interesting, engaging, nonstop and thorough. She’s super attentive to everyone, providing hands on corrections and vocal adjustments if necessary, so there’s no slacking off in her classes. The shower room situation is a different story though. There have been the same gobs of hair in the stalls for over a week, old dried conditioner stains on the walls for months, hair all over the tile floor, empty toiletry bottles, and the used towel bin was overflowing tonight, clearly untouched for days. Either the staff needs to regularly clean or a service should get hired bc it’s getting rough in there.

She gives really clear instructions so you actually know what is going on, hits you with a ton of praise so you feel like you knew what was going on all along, and offers subtle corrections to help you get the most out of your burn.     Good energy from the instructor and she made corrections on me that actually made sense instead of adjusting people for the heck of it. Bunch of unique sets especially with abs and seat work today that haven’t been used by other teachers in a while so I appreciated the switch up. Also only 5 people in class yes!!!     Sub teacher tonight- class was 6 stations-2 exercises at each, doing each exercise at the station twice (45 seconds on 15 seconds break) followed by a transition workout (planks, skaters, squat jumps) to the next station.     Great full body workout using dumbbells and bodyweight. Class consisted of 3 circuits, each circuit had 5 workouts-3 strength, 1 cardio and 1 core (done three times through). Expect to do squats, lunges, planks, tricep extensions, bicep curls, jumping jacks, skiers etc.

    Mike is an excellent teacher. The one thing that would take his classes to the next level, especially the Sunday 8am class which is a manageable size, would be to try to learn the names of the students in class. Again, he’s already awesome, but this would make it a 10 out of 10.
