    SCULPT RESTORE (recovery)

Such a good class. I usually take AAA but recently took some time off from working out and have been easing myself back in. This was super challenging! Don’t sleep on Sculpt & Restore! At least not when Alec is teaching. Really great teacher. I’m sore.

    SCULPT Full Body

Hardest core workout I’ve ever done with muscle-shaking variations I’ve never heard of before. I didn’t exactly enjoy it, but I definitely needed it to show me where I need to get strong. I don’t think you could go to a BodyRok regularly and not get toned.

    ABS ARMS ASS (toning)

Really great class! Pilates is always a toss up for me bc I have a spinal fusion and I have some limitation in what I can do, but I was able to talk to the instructor before class and she was super helpful and helped make suggestions for modifications. Other instructors I've had in the past at other studios only focused on my limitations which really sucked, but Jenni was very accommodating and I got a great workout too! Highly recommend!

Super intense. Im truly shocked at how quickly I reach muscle failure. Im pretty fit, dance almost everyday & have a very strong core. However, Solid Core challenges my muscles in a very heightened manner. Is there a no bungee option? Maybe I should try that. #earplugsamust

Great class, super challenging. This studio is always very very humid and quite hot though. I was next to the thermostat and the temperature was 75 when class started and 77 when it ended. Way too hot on a muggy day like this.

    FOUNDATIONS (core building)

Pilates is a lot harder than it looks. Especially if you are very thoughtful about it and do it properly. this worked muscles other workouts neglect, sych as hamstrings, and smaller more subtle muscles in the core. It is a very core intensive workout. I have done to beginner classes one with Katherine and one with Sean. Sean's was a little bit harder, but they were both very good introductory classes. If you have never done Pilates, or haven't done it in a long time, you should definitely take this beginner class. the SOHO Studio is beautiful, but I found the Greenwich Village Studio a little more welcoming

Xiomara is an awesome teacher!!! I had an injury and so did another student and she tailored things that gave us a great workout without further injury - ie - she gives great cues and really understands the body - most teachers ask about your injury (if at all) and then forget about it for the rest of class- phenomenal class.

I really enjoyed Angeline's class. I took her open level class before and she was really tough so I was scared level 2 would be way too advanced for me. I'm comfortable enough with pilates but every instructor is different. She gave great modifications and I always learn new moves when I take her class. I also appreciated that she used props and not just the basic reformer exercises. I'll be back! I used to only go to Marina but now Angeline and Marina are my go to's.

Great workout, sleek studio, awesome instructor! I’ve done megaformer classes at other places and was a bit intimidated by the reviews of solidcore, but Haly went through a friendly overview of the machine before class and gave exceptionally clear cues throughout the workout with positivity as she cheered on us on. Couldn’t ask for a better introduction to solidcore or a better workout on a megaformer.

Good class and very welcoming and sweet teacher. I do wish this was a little more classical Pilates with emphasis on alignment and form. (Much preferable to New York Pilates which is nearly double the price for a pseudo-instagram friendly workout, although with the Christmas lights and gold marble wallpaper, Just Like Om still offers Instagram vibes ????) Angeline is fantastic and consistently delivers the toughest reformer classes ever. Her odd and dry sense of humor is also so amusing and gets me through the never ending pain of holding through 2 minute planks. Please check out Just Like Om and take a class with Angeline, Erin or Michele. Your abs will thank you.

    Community Class

Danbi was super welcoming as I came early and she showed me around. She talked to me about her journey and told me a few important things that would be happening before the class. Before the class started we went over a few key moves and things to know about the reformer. Class was DIFFICULT and I’ve done classes like Tone House and other intense HIIT classes. I loved challenging myself in a different way today and even though the music wasn’t my vibe the workout and Danbi definitely were. Even if you’re new to workout don’t feel bad about taking a pause when your muscle is about to cramp because it’s a community of people at different levels but I saw many people stopping at a point. I will hands down be back for another challenge!

It’s the same as SLT but with black lights. It’s very hard! The one thing I hate about SLT which is the same in this class is the countdown of the next move you’re going to do. I find it super distracting and hard to concentrate on what I’m doing in the moment. It’s part of the class so I better get used to it I guess. But it’s also hard to follow/ hear

Overall good exercises and sequence but I wouldve liked it better if Shareal had given more cues about breath or alignment or imagery about how to do the exercises. Just counting (sometimes too quickly for the time it took for some in the class to actually do the exercise) and saying the exercises isnt really teaching. I also wouldve preferred to use the springs on the Cadillac instead of just doing mat exercises for the glute sequence.
