    Outdoor HIIT - Total Body

Interval training seems so straightforward and kinda basic, but Chris exemplifies how a good instructor takes it to the next level. He’s so clear and crisp that you don’t have to struggle to remember every station. And damn, was I sore.

    WundaBar Workout

This was only my third WundaBar class so I still have a long way to go before my core stops trembling all the time, but I really liked how Jessica was clear in her instructions and encouraging without sounding fake. She was a little calmer than the other instructors I've had but I appreciated her vibe the best.

Cueing makes all the difference, and Jasmine gives the best, precise and clear cues hands down- I feel I’ve successfully completed the full workout with improvements on movement quality because of how absolutely on point she is with her cueing.

    BODY TONIC 1-2

Another great class with Kate. Got a solid workout- lots of core work at the top of class which made me happy, followed by total body strength/balance/alignment work, followed by some solid stretching and even foam rolling! Glad to have experienced both this class and the more challenging flow class. Will be back for both!

    BootyCamp: Sweat and Burn Edition!!

Great full body workout! Love the way class progresses. Plenty of rest in between exercises while still being challenging. Not exactly “booty camp” because we didn’t to that many movements focused on the booty. It’s more like a HIIT class with a slight lower body focus. Similar to a CrossFit METCON or Burn class.

    Shred

Jennifer was one of the better teachers I’ve had here. She was focused, gave clear directions, and kept a close eye on form. That said, it really bothers me that every teacher at this studio calls me/people out for taking mini breaks as needed. Sometimes pushing through the burn is not the right thing to do! It can lead to injury. This attitude keeps me from coming back more often. Instead of feeling like I can do 45% of the class, get stronger and come back and do 48% and so on, I’m made to feel like it’s all or nothing, so I usually choose to go to another studio that challenges me without criticizing me for taking care of my body. I think this must be how the instructors are told to instruct because it’s been across the board (except Dylan I think).

    IN PERSON Basic Flow

Kristyn was so sweet! Fabulous teacher. Made great adjustments and was everything you'd ever want in a yogi instructor. Only thing was it ended up unintentionally being a hot yoga class...because it was 100+ degrees out so just make sure to bring a towel because the building is very old so the AC doesn't work great on hot days with lots of people.

Hiit-B!! (High Intensity Interval Training - Boxing!!)

Tony was nice enough to give me a private class when I was the only one who showed up (other places have politely asked if I wanted to come another time). One-on-one is way tougher than a group class. Sore for days. It was fun and challenging. Tony is a character. I’m no boxer but it’s a fun workout.

Angies class is always tough which is great, but if you need more hands on instruction I suggest other instructors. She has a more casual teaching style and chats more with regulars than provides adjustments. But always feel the burn when I walk away so thumbs up for that!
