Sloan gives SUPERB form corrections both verbally and hands-on (if you want) - mitigating injury risk and optimizing the effect. The time FLEW and it was over before I began, I felt, although my body will be a good sore for days.

Great class, it was challenging but fun! My only critisim is about the mats - I really wish the studio would get less slippery ones, doing any kind of plank on them is almost impossible

So sad this instructor was subbing for a class at Williamsburg location. He was amazing, and many of the moves he showed us I have never done at a Pure Barre class. They definitely worked out muscles that I don’t generally and my obliques and butt are feeling it today! I will warn this class was definitely not for beginners, if you aren’t used to verbal instructions and quick pace this class may be a bit confusing/difficult. Overall, contemplating whether I should make the trek to Union Square for his class.

Amazing class, Mikayla was thorough with their explanations of each move and went around the room correcting form which I found to be very helpful. I have tried out Classic and Align classes at Pure Barre before which I liked, but this class stood out for me because we were able to use a heavier set of weights and had more of an emphasis on upper body which you don’t really find in most barre/pilates classes. I will definitely be adding this to my rotation at least for the month of December.

Perfectly challenging program without being killer — hit every muscle group and transitioned to active recovery just in time! Clear, motivating instruction from Brooke. Meticulously clean studio. Warm, welcoming staff. Great vibes! There was a technical difficulty with the mic that made the audio a bit grating at times, but I didn’t notice it much. Will be back!

Megan is amazing! I have been going to her for weeks now and I love it every time. Class goes by very quickly and each time she has a different and exciting workout planned. Love her energy. She also will make modifications if your form is off which many instructors don’t do. I even brought my friend who also loves her! Can’t wait to go back next weekend already looking forward to it. Grace was awesome! Loved the set up - good spacing between bikes, fun lights, fans. She was very high energy and motivating. The class instructions use the bike monitors’ resistance (watts) and speed (ROM), but you could choice to ignore. Also uses small weights for arm exercises. Will definitely be back!
