One of the best in months due to its variety of movements, timing breakdown + longevity: 4 stations, 3 moves at each done AMRAP style for 4 mins, :30 rest, then 3 mins :30 rest, then a 2 min sprint of the cardio move (run, row, bike, prison step ups). We covered sumo DL, goblet squats, burpees, box jumps, chest press, v ups, push-ups, plate GTO, overhead plate lunges + jump switch lunges. Only slight caveat is that I wish more upper body work was covered to hit the back, but otherwise, this was put together incredibly well.

Im a lefty, and should fight southpaw, but rarely do bc boxing instructors always teach traditional style and its hard for me to adjust. But Willie took the time to give me specific southpaw instructions during the more detailed combinations. Also I got a better sweat than I have at a boxing class in a long time. The warm up, the core section, the boxing rounds, they were killer, in a room that I suspect was kept hot on purpose. Not a dry brow in the house! One minor somewhat related complaint. The studio gets a bit stinky of feet and other stuff. A little of the powerful air freshener I’ve noticed at other boutique gyms would go a long way here!

Exercises weve done in the past include bear crawls on the turf, sled pushes, rowing, wall balls, running around the block, ab glider walks, box jumps, pull-ups, just to name a few. Theres sometimes team/partner exercises. Its like Tone House but safer and more varied. I wish the classes were smaller but Colter still made it work. Highly considering getting a membership here.

The studio is no-frills by nyc standards, but they have 4 or 5 showers and a big locker room, and the studio space itself is wonderful (and hot :). Just body wash in the showers, and they ask that you keep them to 3min.

He was encouraging and really focused on form to make sure all exercises were done properly. I havent done a workout like this before that was all resistant bands working on a lot of core and balance but I loved it.

I found Erica to be very knowledgeable and really had an understanding of the body and how every move was suppose to work each muscle group. It was a solid class although not something that I would say was exceptionally challenging. Erica made adjustments and spent time with each student during each exercise to correct form and give feedback. Music was old school soul and 80s pop/ which I loved. I would take the class again.
