    Switch Playground Class

This might be the most entertaining class in NYC and perfect if you have workout ADD since its about 20 different stations for two minutes each. The trainers do a great job demonstrating the moves and keeping things moving. Youll sometimes lose a few seconds waiting for a demo but to avoid this, it helps to look at the station right after hours while you are at your own station so that you can anticipate whats next.

    Flywheel: Method 45

Izzi absolutely crushed it. As per usual. Music was unreal and her programming is second to none. However, I have 4 huge issues with flywheel that remain unresolved. First is the music is so loud. Like my ears were ringing and I’ve talked to them about this before but no one listens. Second is no more water bottles and no decrease in price. Peloton was water bottles... third is there were no bananas or apples today!! Wtf. And finally the bikes. The bikes are horrible. It’s not smooth and parts of clearly missing. If flywheel wants to compete with peloton they need to truly compete and peloton has all this stuff. Idk I’m worried for flywheels future tbh. And then where will I take izzis class

Holy cow. Ive been to lots of these trendy heated yoga places - Y7, yoga vida, sky ting - this class was harder (and maybe hotter) than them all. Maybe also cuz I was fighting a cold. But it was doable, and all levels in the class. Loved the Jen and the playlist! Good vibes.

    ABS ARMS ASS (toning)

Really enjoyed the instructor. Challenging and great attitude. Space is still a construction zone. Not loving the concrete stairs. Edge is really sharp on your bare feet. Lots of uneven edges on sides of room be careful. Stair has no safety railing. Looks cool but when we were changing over classes and crowding on the stairs I felt like someone could tumble over easily. Might want to wear some shoes up until you get on the reformer. Glass door was missing panels so you could hear the music from the lobby which had crazy base and was totally different from the music in the room and it was really distracting. Maybe come back in a month once things are finished. Only one bathroom and two changing areas. Might want to consider changing and peeing at home. .

This was a great workout, I'm pretty sure I'll be feeling it tomorrow. I can't help but think there is always something awkward about this studio. The space is very cool with a cafe in front. There are two bathrooms that you can change in, a coat/ shoe area, cubbies inside for your purse. They provide mats, bolster, blocks, blankets, eye mask (or you can buy one for $9). The cafe will refill your bottle with filtered water as well. The yoga room is large with speakers above and built into the floor. During class they project visuals around you and play beats. The beginning and end have an eye mask portion. There is an emphasis on sound experience here. I really enjoyed the yoga. There was a lot of stretching and flow as well to heat you up. I took fire their winter special class so I'm not sure if signature is similar but I was dripping sweat. Lots of variations for different levels of practitioners. At the end there is a spritz of aromatherapy and you get an elixer shot as you walk out. Very warm and welcoming staff. They also have a dog named Shapiro.

    Ballet (Open Level)

I got a good warm up and technique in this class. I learned a bunch of terminology and the teacher was very encouraging. Look out for the dance studio right next to the clothing store because it doesn't have the liberated movement name anywhere. Prep to get your warm up by 5 flights of stairs so make sure to arrive early for this just in case you need exta time

    Nap Session

I got a really great rest. Too much noise every 15 min or with someone coming in or leaving, but a few good catnap spurts of rest. The only tip Id give them is to add facial sunblock to the amenity kit. After cleaning my face pre-nap, that was one thing I needed before heading back out into the sunny city.

    Advanced Kettlebell

Definitely sore the next day after this class! Thiago is great and always helps with form. Class was various lunges, presses, swings and Turkish get ups. Thiago is a great teacher!
