    Kickboxing Conditioning

    This was a great workout! I haven't done boxing or kickboxing for over a year now and was looking to get back into it and get in a good cardio class and this surely fit the bill! DJ was very helpful in correcting my kicking skills and I was very appreciative of his hands on attention. He had good energy and kept the class moving along. The only negative was that the music was blaring making it sometimes hard to hear his instructions.

    Great instructor, even though it was her first time teaching. Her pacing was good and I appreciated that she took the time to visually demonstrate the moves where she was standing on the floor. She was also active about walking around to check positions of both people and the machines. I will say though that it is annoying to see an instructor looking at her phone very frequently though and this is the second class I have been in where I’ve noticed this. It seems that CST50 does not require instructors to memorize routines so a lot of them are constantly referring to their phones. This instructor managed to do it without losing her connection to the class but the classes would definitely have a more seamless and professional feel if they required instructors to have no phones.

    Eddy is the best trainer! He is very personable and knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition. I was able to get a one-on-one session with him and he was attentive and helped spot me when needed during the workout and push me to give me a good butt kicking!     Amazing class, the instructor will challenge you while making sure you keep proper form. He starts the class with a 12-15 min warm up that incorporates dynamic stretches, then you work on a strength excerzise, which varies every class (squats, deadlifts, bench press, etc.) and then you work on a speed challenge, which also varies per class, and can include battle ropes, ball slams, sand bags, prowler, box jumps... There is a clock which counts down the hour and before you know it, the clock buzzer goes off and you end class feeling accomplished. I can't wait to go back next week. Highly recommend this type of training!

    This wasn't even a class. The woman was confused when I came to the front desk. She said all their classes start at 9 am and they're not on ClassPass. Nonetheless, she offered to train me anyway. The exercises, prompted by a prerecorded video, were overly simple. I didnt feel like I was getting a real workout in. Also, there was a focus on speed more than form. You only spend 30 seconds on each machine so my the time you feel like you're getting it, it's time to move on. Ir wasn't even a slow burn either. The best part was at the end, the stretches. Those were good. The woman did not speak Engl8sh well, wasn't a helpful instructor, and clearly couldnt be bothered. I will not be returning to this studio again
