    SHADOWBOX - STANDARD

BEST BOXING STUDIO IN NY. Forget overthrow. Love. Great instructor too, and great music! Be warned, they will not help you with hand wraps (a little weird, especially for first-time class attendees...) so if you dont know how to do your own, either do them at home or arrive with plenty of time to figure it out / DIY.

Definitely a good workout, sweat dripping down my face the majority of the time, but also it was super hot when I walked in so that certainly contributed. You have to have straps or buy them for $10 at the desk, so know that!

Amazing workout, was dripping sweat within the first 20 minutes. Instructor is super friendly and did a great job of mixing cardio and strength. He also taught some true boxing combos which was cool

Rich was awesome! Loved the combos and it was a super tough class. This is one of my fave studios. The one feedback I would give is that I think there needs to be an intro level or even 15 minutes to teach newbies how to punch. Whenever there are brand new people in the class, I notice how they arent sure of the fundamentals, and its a safety issue!

Was surprisingly full for a lunchtime class. But I got lucky and had a good partner. I like the format of class and that we werent swapping catching and hitting the whole time. Didnt getting any help on form but the coaches were cool and def had a great workout

    Boxing HIIT

This boxing class is very legit and a great bargain on ClassPass. I did notice John wrapped several student’s hands, which they don’t do at a lot of boxing places, so points for individualized attention. The space isn’t huge, but is perfectly sized to accommodate twelve people. I liked how he referred to the punches by number versus name. The only drawback was that there was no stretch at the conclusion of class. However, that’s easily remedied at home, or they have open floor space to stretch as well.

Paul yells a lot and plays music really loudly compared to the other instructors. Not mad at it though, just know he's intense from jump. That said he's conscious of people's different skill levels and will do what he can to make sure you do things correctly.

Amazing! Learned how to punch and kick and block. I expected this to be mostly theory but it was cool to get plenty of practice with lots of hands on attention. There was mitt work and bag work. Sometimes martial arts studios can be intimidating, but Master Jojo and everyone else were so welcoming and friendly. Got a great workout. Really fun and very useful.

    NINJA HIIT

Very energetic and motivating instructor. Class is very intense but goes by super fast. First 25 min of class today was a combination of body weight exercises and boxing air punching variations. Nothing was done for more than 30 seconds, so you wont get bored and can be motivated to go full out for those 30 seconds. Second have of class was 8 circuit stations, each one minute long of shadow boxing, fire flips, box jumps, db renegade rows, trx rows/jump squats, Bose squats, med ball quick feet toe taps and weighted punches. Note to studio: get a big timer/clock for the room Note to class: please dont make this more of a boxing class, keep it a mix of a little boxing and HIIT
