The incline walking is the perfect challenge and I worked up such a good sweat and burn while not destroying my joints/lower body from running/sprints. Lisa was so knowledgeable and kept the class moving at a fast pace to make sure we really optimized the whole duration of the workout!

see all reviewsI loved Colin’s energy and his ability to pay attention to each of the students throughout the class even though it was a relatively full class. He was able to guide me to one of the poses better, and even remembered my name! (Not many people do since it’s a difficult one). His style is more direct than most teachers but I enjoyed it because I was actually learning and pushing/challenging myself more to hold poses longer. It was a very sweaty 90 mins so be sure to bring a towel!! I’ll definitely be back for one of Colin’s classes!

see all reviewsTahnee is one of my fav instructors in the city so it was great seeing this pop up on Classpass. I’ve been taking her Pilates Fusion class for about a year now. I like her dance music playlists, the exercises are great, and I like her energy. Every class is different so it never gets stale. She’s helped fix my body in ways that doctors and physiotherapists have missed. I would say it’s an intermediate difficulty class on average but she’s good about giving modifications to make things suitable for beginners or advanced as you wish. She’s good at getting you out of your comfort zone without being a drill sergeant and since everything is optional you can just chill when you need to take a break.

I loveee that the music is pumped loud so I can push my muscles through the burn & shaking but if you’re not into that, I’m sure you could ask to turn it down a bit or wear ear plugs. And if I can’t hear, I stand closer to the instructor so I can clearly see what movement they are doing & follow along. All the instructors at Ballet Lounge are sooo nice so you can ask any question, no question is dumb!! BL also offers virtual classes so you could workout from home & adjust the volume! This barre class doesn’t have weights so it focuses more on the legs (hence booty barre) but the exercises are still tough & make my muscles very sore 😁
