I was bummed that Jason was out of town. But Dom is really great! Hes even harder than Jason. Not as funny, but way better in hitting each machine for some one-on-one encouragement. Love these Level 3 classes. That extra 15 minutes and faster combos make all the difference.

Brice is the best - he makes an effort to know everyone’s name and then during class he gives everyone one on one attention. He challenges you but allows you to go at your own pace - great class, great guy. And he’s a total hottie as well - which can be a little distracting especially when he wears those tight shorts but by no means is that a complaint!

I thought Matt W. was outstanding. He started class by announcing that there would be three rounds: 8 minutes, 10 minutes and 6 minutes. He explained everything clearly and gave lots of demos. He was helpful - setting up bands and putting them away. He was encouraging and corrected form. And his runs were challenging but within reason. THANK YOU! Really wonderful class.

    Full Body (60 Minutes)

This was the best Barry's class I've been to. I REALLY liked the format of eight-minute treadmill intervals, each consisting of two-minute runs spaced out by recovery walks. That felt much more reasonable and attainable than the classes that involve 21-minute treadmill intervals, where it's so long that you just know it's impossible and don't try as hard. Also Allie's floor work was easy to understand and she gave the most individual attention I've had at Barry's - including pushing me to hit my fastest sprint pace (three times)!

Great class; not as challenging as other classes I’ve taken here but its nice that this studio never does the same routine twice. It’s always a completely different class. Ok this class is HARD. To give you an idea of how difficult it is, the WARMUP is a series of 50 burpees. However, don’t let that discourage you. The instructors and fellow classmates are super supportive and encouraging no matter what your pace is. The instructor Cristiano was so helpful and made sure I had alternate workouts for some of the harder parts (pull ups). All in all, it was one of the most gruesomely amazing workouts I’ve had in a long time. FYI, I was the only female in the class. The only minor negative I had was that at 7am there was no parking (permit only until 8am). So give yourself extra time to circle around.

I avoided this class for years because of the negative comments here, but gave it a try today and found much to recommend. Yes, the music is generic and beside the point, but it’s in a nice, open gym, the instructor was lovely, and no less than 3 people checked in with me afterward to see what I thought of the class and how it went for me. I’ve been to classes at other studios with the same people for years and we’ve never even looked at each other. I really appreciated the sense of community. Also: I was pretty winded doing those reps! It’s as challenging as you want to make it. I’ll be back.

    PLATEFIT - Vibration Training

It was a sub today, not Ilia. Her name was Carrie (Keri? Not sure on spelling.) But she was SO good!! Probably the best PLATEFIT instructor I’ve had yet. She was super tough but also encouraging and kind. Honestly, most of them are just tough- which is great, but it really helps me in my workouts when they are also encouraging. 5 stars across the board today! Also, I really love this new studio and, as always, front desk staff is excellent and helpful.

Great for a Sunday morning. I love doing Pilates by the light from the window rather than lights! Great core and booty work. Rebecca is lovely.

    Fit Camp Cardio Bandz

This class is very hard and really kicks your booty. Be sure to bring a towel and water as I dont think they offer either. There is easy street parking around. Bring three dollars to rent the vest and the bands. Green bands are intermediate, the red bands are way crazy hard.

    Row Circuit

Love these classes. First round is not bad, but by the end you are dripping sweat and legs and arms are shaking. Split off into groups and it’s either a timed switch or counted off reps at each station. Great all body workout for when you need to push yourself hard.
