    Loved my visit Balance Gym! The staff checked me in quickly and without hassle, and the gym had a nice mix of cardio and weight machines. They also have an indoor pool and a whirlpool. I was therThe locker room had all kinds of toiletries, hairdryers (and a sign saying flat irons and curling irons were available at the front desk), nice walk-in showers, towels, lockers with pin pad locks, etc. Note that the gym is inside the Fairmont Hotelyou enter the gym through their lobby, and you enter the Fairmont from their main entrance on 24th (not M) Street. Make a right once you walk in and take the staircase on your left.

    This is my 10th or so class with Mayu. It went by super fast! I started taking her CPY1 class in July and it absolutely kicledy butt. I was dripping, no, raining sweat the first class and doubted if I could make it through within the first fifteen minutes (to be fair, the time slot I used to go to was right after a heated class and it was still sweltering by the time non-heated CPY1 came around!). I'm definitely ending 2019 stronger than I ever have been thanks to a combination of Mayu's CPY1 classes, pilates, and Barre3 in Georgetown. However, since the CPY1 class is always the same sequence, I can easily see my progress from then to now. Despite it being the same sequence, I'm still learning each class on how and where to improve and - I still sweat. Just less ? could not recommend more - Mayu gives excellent verbal cues and physical adjustments and guides with a calming, positive presence ??
