Although there were quite a lot of people (20 class participants) but she still made sure to give enough attention and encouragement to me as a first-timer. Appreciated her saying my name multiple times which made me feel seen. I liked how Julie gave me a quick run-through of the class beforehand as well as a check-in after class. I’ll definitely come back to physique 57.

see all reviewsI’m super super picky about Pilates instructors since I’ve taken hundreds of classes over 10 years. I’ve had a hard time finding good reformer instructors in Philadelphia, but Sarah is one of the good ones. This class was 50/50 stretching and work, which is great for beginners, or for advanced practitioners who need a more restorative class. My only gripe with this studio is classes are advertised as being 60 minutes, and they never are an hour- typically 45-50 minutes.
