Instructor was great! She’s super funny and motivating. It was my first time, but it was easy to pick up. They have screens that tell you what each station should be doing with a demo video. Love that it moves quickly. Free parking on Sunday, otherwise you have to pay but lots of spots in the morning. I would go again!

My first time taking Peters class and his playlist was fiyahh! For me, that’s a deal breaker for a good workout & caught myself a few times wanting to twerk it out but then channeled that energy to go harder. I look forward to my Barry’s classes every time :)

My first class and the staff were super welcoming from the start! The coach was there in the beginning to explain the class & what screen to follow, and it was great because throughout the class she ensured to check up on me & give me any body alignment corrections. I love the quick paced HIIT workout, which made class fly by! The space is modern, clean and well ventilated. It was such a fun 1st experience :)

    Bootcamp

The instructor was young, probably about 15 to 20 years younger than I am. He was very warm, welcoming, and kept an eye out for me. He assuaged my anxiety about not keeping up with the group. We began with a well-designed, dynamic, stretching and lengthening warm-up. The warm-up was challenging and had some cardiovascular intensity. We then moved onto a weight progression that led up to doing jerks with a bar. Because it was my first time, my bar did not have weight on it. He was very attentive to my questions on form and helped correct me. He would also challenge me and push me forward. Which I really appreciated. we also did a hang and lifted our legs in the process. That was very difficult for me. Nonetheless, he gently encouraged me and suggested that I was stronger than I believe. We also did a dumbbell row which was straightforward for me because I had done that in other situations. We finished off the class with some cardio. I did that on the bike. Had a really nice balance of encouraging and pushing the participants. Also letting us make adjustments for what we needed for ourselves. It was an excellent workout. It’s a level above what? I am ready for right now. However, it’s something that I could see myself signing up for in the future.

Brittany was a great instructor. She was patient and took some time with me to educate me in the stroke. I will need more practice in order to do it well and not risk injury. The class was pretty relaxed and doable for a new time rower. It was nice to have a break in the middle of the session to do some stretching. The stretching at the end is also helpful. This is definitely on my list of studios to consider an ongoing membership outside of ClassPass.

    Barre Class

The best workout class I’ve taken in years! I’ve been to so many of the different workout classes and barre classes in the SF Bay Area and around the country and this was by far the best class, best workout, most fun and effective workout I’ve taken in the longest time. It’s also a gorgeous studio. I’d highly recommend taking this class! Wild and the Barre should be franchised and available everywhere. Thanks for creating such a gem of a workout!

Shamp's Fit Camp - Total Body Workout

The participants are members that have trained with each other, and that teacher for 10 to 15 years or longer. They were warm, welcoming, and enthusiastic. Most were probably in their late 40s or older. The instructions for each station were written on a chalkboard in various corners of the gym. You have to make sure to bring sticky shocks or indoor cross trainers. This is a gymnasium with ball pits and trampolines and loops and bars. So it needs to maintain cleanliness for the kids and youth who use it for those activities. The circuit was challenging. It was more challenging than what I was ready for. The circuit involved a modified plank station, a squat station, a TRX station, a Pilates, hamstring station and awaited lunch station. However, the instructor was supportive of the adjustments I had to make for my comfort level. I would’ve preferred more comments on modifications for people who are lower levels of fitness. I would’ve preferred more queuing on form. There is a community feeling, and the space is very fun because it is so bouncy and unusual for a gym. I need to work on having a better base for cardiovascular fitness, and then I think I would find this class a better fit for the long-haul.
