Dance Cardio

see all reviewsThe class was engaging, challenging and satisfying. The instructor was helpful in accommodating a past injury. It was a lot to pick up for a newbie (acronyms and moves I didn’t totally understand) but it was a welcoming environment to learn more!

see all reviewsMara always switches up what we do and has us doing a range of activities and tries to make them more engaging like group jump roping. She makes sure we aren't straining ourselves and that we have proper technique. I have taken classes from the other instructors and they all are a bit different in their approach which is great. I've enjoyed every class.

see all reviewsAs a woman, I was initially hesitant to sign up for the Saturday morning 2 hour “combat fitness” class, but Coach Gen and the community he has built are so enormously welcoming! And I was initially a bit worried when he gave me the tour of the space and said and oh the tree outside is where people sometimes puke. But I was relieved when I discovered that 80% of the class was other women, and the vibe is very supportive and encouraging! The first hour of the class is cardio and strength training (with 20+ lb weights), the second hour is full body contact sparring. I’d done mitt work at other boxing gyms, but I understand how much more real it is now when you’re actually kicking and punching others… and receiving kicks & punches. In short, if you want to get in great shape while also learning real Muay Thai technique and sequences in situations that mimic actual fighting, Coach Gen has created a special space for everyone to feel welcome. Highly recommend this studio!

see all reviewsThis is the first time in my life that I went to a Martial Arts class. Movements in this class worked differnt parts of muscle that we usualy won't of just taking walks or running. The only thing was that I could hardly heard the instructor let alone underatand her. Overall, It was an interesting experience and a couple of classmates were super helpful.
