Out of towner here (DC rider)- smaller studio than what I'm used to but sound was great (even with ear plugs in per habit). Very easy to see why Jessie is popular- great music, encouraging cues, lots of TORQ! Fun ride to start off my Friday.

Steph is one of THE BEST instructors I've ever had at Turnstyle. She is so energetic and intense. You can tell that she's really having fun when teaching the class. Not only that, but it's an incredibly hard class!! I feel like I get 4x the workout in Steph's class than I do with other instructors - always adding push-ups and taps back to get that extra work out. Always going to be looking for Steph's classes from here on out!!

Great class! My only issue was the employee talking before class to another employee about Boston Marathon and asked if her friend was running for charity or a "real" runner. FYI- I've qualified both ways, 8 times. and was ALWAYS a real runner. That's just an aside, and not a huge issue, but it rubbed me the wrong way.

Chrissy is my favorite! Love that this is not a "boring" barre class. Some of the other studios can get so repetitive, it's the same exact thing every class. I also liked that we focused on back work with the weights and less on arms and shoulders.

I have taken BagsBody classes with different instructors at both EF locations. Hands down, Shane is the best instructor!!! He starts the class with a good warmup, continues with 4-5 punch combos and builds on it with additional punches in each round. He gives clear instructions. At the end of his classes you know and feel you had a great workout. Many instructors forget that this class is for all levels. They come up with very complex combos and they seem more eager to show off their own boxing skills rather than teaching it to the class.

Feedback for btone in general- it would be cool to have some classes with specific focuses such as mostly core, or upper body or butt and legs. So fun!! I work out a lot so I questioned whether this class would be sufficiently challenging, and it was! Great mix of cardio and strength training. The instructor was very enthusiastic, prepared, and knowledgeable. My only suggestions would be more ab work and possibly hands-on corrections during the barre sections (to make the positions more effective for those new to barre). I hadn't tried Bar Method yet because of the reviews about them calling people out. I'm sad now that I let that deter me! In my opinion, the calling corrections to individuals by name is incredibly helpful to make sure you have the correct form to avoid injury and maximize your workout. Since I was new she called my name A TON, but that's okay because I didn't know the proper form. Every correction made me feel the exercise more intensely, which is great! I assume if I continue going to class I will learn the proper form, and my name will be called less. I highly advise going because I believe if you're going to spend the time and money doing something, you should do it right. But that's just me... Overall, great workout!!

    Gym Time

This is probably the best hotel gym I've been to. Joe, the gentleman who greeted me upon arrival, was so friendly and kind and I really appreciated him and his great attitude. the facility is very clean, plenty of cardio equipment, and the locker rooms have everything you could need. the free rights area is lacking a bit but still really good for a hotel gym.

    Bar Method

This class is not for the faint of heart; I was already sore leaving the class. The entire studio is beautiful and the instructor gave lots of corrections. However, we put the weights and mats back without washing them, which is a little gross. Would recommend in any case.

    Core Flow

Ive tried yoga classes around Boston and this is the only one I LOVE. Laura is such a pro, I leave class a little sweaty, stronger, and so stretched and relaxed. Perfect combo of a little work and a lot of resetting. Love love love.
