First time in the new upstairs space - it is clean and spacious, and will be so nice once the leaves are out on the trees! Stephanies class was challenging and well paced. There are lots of options offered, but would recommend some familiarity with yoga as the instructor moves around the class rather than demonstrating at the front (which is great; lots of adjustments and attention to form) - it just means it is easier to follow if you know the names of the poses. This studio is my favourite in the east end - always a great experience from start to finish.

Kelsey is definitely one of my favourite instructors! This was a pretty juicy workout - so Im still giving it 5 stars, but across the board with any instructor it would be nice to see more variation in the weight portion of the class. Its a little too concentrated on the shoulders/chest - it would be nice to dig into the back, triceps and forearms once in a while to keep it well rounded

Regular instructor didnt show up but Mike came pretty fast to replace him. Intense class, combos of 6-7 moves which can get pretty confusing if youre a newbie. Cold, lemon-scented towels are a nice touch but lots of plastic wrappers being used. And while free cold water bottles are a great touch, that again, is a ton more plastic waste. Lose the bottled water and encourage people to use water bottles as they have a filtered water station. Great work out and good swear. Youll be sore after!

Bree communicates her intentions with love and passion. One of many things I love Ahimsa- all instructors came from diverse walks of life with different intentions and practices, but they all move with deliberate care in their own journeys. I went in expecting a sweaty flow, came out walking taller and with a message to think about for the rest of the week. Thank you, Ahimsa.

    Bootcamp | Strength

This was a really good class overall, and the instructor was welcoming and upbeat. This is a strength-based class with virtually no cardio, and it is heavily focussed on upper body exercises on this day. I wish however that this class was longer than 45 minutes, because 10-15 minutes is lost from the explanation, warm up, and cool down so it makes for a very short workout.

    Roll Out

After four consecutive days of hard workouts, Roll Out was a gift. It’s like a sports massage: it doesn’t always feel good while it’s happening, but the benefits after are essential. Instruction and pacing were on point, and the studio vibe is encouraging and fun. I’ll be back!

    Pilates

This instructor was awesome— cool, friendly, goofy, and not afraid to push you! The class was insane, more more more reps with an intense burn of all the trouble spots, core, back, thighs. I workout all the time and I was dying. Will def be back! A great workout, and not a sweaty class, which is great for when you have a blowout to protect :D

    Reformer (L1)

My first time doing Reformer Pilates and Leslie was amazing. She is super nice and took the time to give me instruction throughout the class. There are only 6 machines so the class size is small which is great because you get lots of individual attention!

Brendan is one of the BEST yoga instructors who truly understands the anatomy of the human body. It makes classes easy to follow for beginners, yet still challenging for the experienced. This isnt my main studio but I try to make it to Brendans class if my schedule allows. Highly recommended!

    Metabolic Conditioning Class

This class is no joke! This class is tough but manageable and the real deal. Feels like you have a personal trainer in a small group setting! You do a series of workout stations with a partner and do 4 sets of exercises for 30 seconds each. They might be squats, lunges, pulling a huge thing across the floor, etc. People in the class seemed to be regulars and they were totally welcoming and supportive. The owner even helped me out with a pair of (clean) socks because I was a hot mess and forgot to bring some. What a nice person and a great class!
