    C1 - CorePower Yoga 1

This is my 10th or so class with Mayu. It went by super fast! I started taking her CPY1 class in July and it absolutely kicledy butt. I was dripping, no, raining sweat the first class and doubted if I could make it through within the first fifteen minutes (to be fair, the time slot I used to go to was right after a heated class and it was still sweltering by the time non-heated CPY1 came around!). I'm definitely ending 2019 stronger than I ever have been thanks to a combination of Mayu's CPY1 classes, pilates, and Barre3 in Georgetown. However, since the CPY1 class is always the same sequence, I can easily see my progress from then to now. Despite it being the same sequence, I'm still learning each class on how and where to improve and - I still sweat. Just less ? could not recommend more - Mayu gives excellent verbal cues and physical adjustments and guides with a calming, positive presence ??

    HOT Power

Weird flow; there was no halfway lifting after forward fold for example, and switching between warrior two down to forward fold felt weird. Probably a really great workout if you do it a lot, but I do a lot of hot yoga around the city and wasn’t sore or rejuvenated or anything after. Also it was SO DARK in there. I couldn’t balance at all; in high crescent or let alone tree pose. But the staff was SO nice, and the facilities (shower, mat for no charge, shampoo etc) were AWESOME. You don’t need to bring anything in the way of shower or towels etc.
