Being that the class packs are limited and more expensive now...this is the third studio and third class this week where classpass had the wrong instructor posted or instructor switched and classpass didn't send anything. When I sign up for a class a lot of times I am signing up for that instructor...anyway overall teacher was good

    Signature FHIX

One of the top 10 classes that I've had here - the 5 minute chipper was an intense way to begin after the warmup, then we had a 16 min 6 station circuit & a 4 min FHIX, followed by a 3 min FHIX. I literally splayed out on the floor once we finished. That said, these workouts are what you make of them - if you choose light weights or don't go hard, you're not gonna have the same response once class is over. You should be dripping in sweat and barely able to walk down the stairs.

Sarah’s class was the toughest class I’ve very taken at Y7 (both around NYC and in LA). She had awesome, unique flow sequences and challenging modifications for advanced students. EXCEED: The Workout

Killer class tonight - love the new assault bike additions (finally)! Skylar does a terrific job splitting up her classes into a combo of circuits, EMOMs + AMRAPs, so we always get a good mix of strength + conditioning work. Tonight covered everything from swings, reverse lunges, wall balls, sumo deadlifts, box jumps, TRX rows, TRX core work, pushups, push presses plus the row + bike. If youre lifting heavy, making out your reps + really putting in the effort, these exceed classes will surely torch you!

Dana put together really great sequences for gently opening up the body and stimulating circulation. Really appreciated her encouraging energy and inspiring words at the beginning of class. Also loved that the studio has lots of windows that let in great natural light and found the scent of eucalyptus in the air refreshing. Front desk could’ve been warmer and more welcoming, but I guess even yogis need a day off from letting their inner light of love shine.

I took my 1st Sports Barre class with Jacey yesterday. I didn't really know what to expect but happy I went. It was a tough but fun workout. Today I feel soreness everywhere. It was a total body workout with mix of cardio, dance and strength training. Mats and resistance bands were used. Expect to do lunges, planks, push ups and more. Jacey was very energetic and in excellent shape. She also came around to do corrections. Too cool to work out with a former Rockette. Very friendly and encouraging. Great music, nice staff. Bar Method

I’ve taken other barre classes but this was my first at Bar Method. It was tough! The instructor was really nice and encouraging with lots of hands-on corrections. The only issue I had was that many of the moves were described verbally but not demonstrated, so could be a little confusing for a newbie. Otherwise great.

    Exhale Barre

Great attentive up beat instructor who looks like shes been doing barre for at least 20 years! Age is just a number. Huge room and lots of people but plenty of space. There was a second instructor helping to demonstrate since the room was an odd L shape. Very small waiting area where people leave shoes. You can buy water. One Bathroom is shared in hall. There are hooks on wall to put your belongings. Towels available.

    RIPPED ALL OVER

Great class and workout, but you have to have some experience with these types of classes because there is no time for instructor to correct form or focus on anyone, since they are basically running two classes (floor/treadmill split). Would definitely recommend as long as some experience!! Also no locker rooms only restrooms.

    Boxing 60

I was very impressed with the cleanliness and equipment at the gym. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. One thing, you will need to have your own wraps and gloves. You can purchase wraps there and they were kind enough to lend me gloves, but I don't know if that's typical. The trainer was excellent at walking around and giving detailed tips. If I had to complain about anything... he definitely didn't really push you much. However, I'm pretty out of shape so maybe he was just being kind!
