Great class! First time. The lights are kept low, similar to a spin class. Exercises move quickly, but the instructor demos everything. This was definitely more cardio than strength (lots of 20 second intervals basically jumping around) but I liked it. Lots of different fitness levels for fellow classmates. People were going at their own pace. Not intimidating. They provide towels!SWEAT DC is a 45 minute strength cardio core workout set in a dark nightclub setting. This was one of my favorite yoga classes I've taken! Cheryl was encouraging and clear with the directions. She had us do a couple of poses that were new to me that I really liked. She also did a great job of targeting the areas the class wanted to focus on. Looking forward to returning soon!Yoga Heights is a community oriented studio that has something for everyone, from flowing vinyasa classes to Pilates, Beats Yoga or Cosmic flow with psychedelic music and starscape lighting! Truly fantastic! Great full body stretching. Exactly what your body needs after an intense workout. I tend to do HIIT, barre, and weights so I'm used to muscle soreness. Dan was helpful in providing ways to intensify rolling to get at those harder to reach areas. I'll definitely return!Past Tense offers a variety of formats from the flowing style of vinyasa to a power yoga format focused on building strength through holding static poses.

Brian was amazing and so attentive to my being a first timer. Cant recommend him enough and the class was the arm burner I was hoping for. I wasnt sure if this would be too advanced but Id say if you have some basic TRX and kettlebell experience its totally fine, there was a good mix here. Loved how we alternated between each move. My only reservation was that there were some barefoot people with their feet on the TRX in the class before and nothing was wiped down between our classes. Theres no reason for bare feet in this place. But Ill be back wiping everything down beforehandUsing kettlebell & TRX training, as well as other forms of the most effective training techniques, you will achieve your best in strength, endurance & nutrition.

This is the first yoga class I’ve ever enjoyed. Kim is very calming and breaks down even the most basic steps. I really feel like these are the building blocks needed to start in yoga, so I plan to come back! If you’re more experienced in yoga, you may find it too basic. Also, if you forget your mat or don’t have one, YogaWorks will rent you one for $2.YogaWorks provides world-class yoga instruction in an inclusive environment that empowers students to live vibrant, healthy lives. AMAZING as always. Yoga should always be this down to earth. I will say though, while I am totally down for yoga set to chill hip hop/R&B, some of the more amped up and pop-forward ones like Rihanna and Kanye were kind of jarring. It is kind of hard to zen out to that type of music. Maybe just a personal preference though!Vinyasa flow classes offer dynamic movement incorporating sun salutations, creative asana (posture) sequencing, and mindful attention to alignment that works with your body.
