    BARRE

Absolutely loved this barre class. Studio is super clean, staff is friendly, and most importantly the class is very challenging! Some barre studios do not know what they’re doing, SALT definitely does! I felt the burn and had all the shakes from this class with Tami. Highly recommend!

I love this instructor and take her class fairly often. One issue I had recently though: I took a class on Monday at the river north location, and then the SAME EXACT class at Lakeview on Friday. Typically I think theyre good at mixing up, but something to be mindful of if you recently took a class at one of the other locations.

Wow, this is a non stop class; you are constantly moving. Instructor was great, and enthusiastic and motivating. Lots of cardio. Not sure if they even use the barres, lol, since we were on the floor the whole time. Great and challenging class.

    Exhale Flow Yoga

Loved this class! Mia was really welcoming and her verbal cues were easy to follow. I would describe this as a low complexity class with seamless flows, but you will definitely work and sweat, so don’t let that description fool you. Perfect balance of hard work and some deep stretching at the end.

April is the best instructor at barre code! She is so nice and positive. Very encouraging. She’s experienced and makes sure everyone’s form is correct (not a lot of instructors do this at barre code) . Classes are fast paced and challenging. I wish there were more instructors as qualified as April at barre code!

    Pure Barre Classic (50 Mins)

Very effective workout for toning. Lots of encouragement from the instructors here. There is a changing room(also the coat hanging space)and bathroom in the back of the studio, If you need to change clothes, you’ll need to wait for the prior class to complete to get to the changing areas; can be a rush during busy times when there is only 10 min between classes.

    Total Body Conditioning

The class was really fun. Good mix of cardio and strength intervals. Some moves were high impact like jumping jacks etc. while others were good toning moves like deadlifts and glute bridges. However, even though the class was not heated, it felt like it as the heat was blasting very high and the room was very dry. I think its a building issue since the instructor said the class was not specifically heated. If possible it would be better to turn down the heat in the classrooms.

Love this class! Keilah was super nice and made sure to check up on me and call my name out supportively in class. We went through each body part, stretching immediately afterwards. It was challenging, but not the hardest class. Would definitely come back and the studio is very clean.

Good class but ran late. I’ve been noticing this a lot when I attend class. Instructors continue to go over the allotted time. Due to scheduling I have to dip out early, which isn’t ideal.

    Bar Method

This was my first barre class and I was nervous and not sure what to expect. The girls at the studio were so nice and welcoming! Stephanie was very nice and encouraging. As I expected from reading other reviews, they do call out your name a lot to tell you what to correct but I didnt mind it, Id rather do it right! I definitely understand how repetition of a move exhausts the muscles and is good but truthfully I was a little bored. The moves were long and just not very exciting. I definitely understand how its a good workout though and Id do it again. Recommend trying it!

Good instructor - gave good clear instruction Started on the mat learning moves before moving into the board. The first half of class was moves on the board. Then did some interval moves around the room using other equipment (battle ropes, squats, etc) Studio is part of a group of 4 studios sharing one building and facilities. Had a great first time at the bar method. Barre restore was exactly what I was looking for - a quick work out followed by a whole session of stretching. Yuchen was A very nice and attentive instructor- remembering our names and giving personalized corrections for postures. She guided the class well. Nice clean studio as well.
