Beginner's Yoga
see all reviewsThis class was the pace I really wanted. I felt welcome and really appreciated the instructor Nacera. Front desk did not greet me because there is self check in and a lot going on but it felt warm and inviting anyway. A few people arrived after class had begun. I’m glad people were able to come in late because I would like to be given that grace myself if it were to happen in the future. I liked that the instructor acknowledged even the late arrivals and how she introduced herself by name a few times. I learned a lot from participating in this class since the focus is explaining. Parking was a dollar in the back lot.

see all reviewsThe class was unconscionably full. You can not safely have 30+ people in a room of that size for a class like yoga sculpt. There was less than 3 inches of space between mats. There were 5 rows of 6 (at least). If you’re jumping, or stretching, or punching, or extending in any way, there is a high likelihood you will bump or hit someone. With a heated class, the temperature will raise several degrees higher than what they set it at - that seems dangerous too. I left before the class began because I was so uncomfortable with the ethics of how everyone was being crammed into the room. I’ve been coming to Veda for months and have enjoyed the classes, but after this most recent one…I don’t think I’ll be back again soon. The people who come here deserve a safe space to practice yoga & movement, and it seems that is not a priority here anymore.

see all reviewsVery relaxing and slow-paced. This was in their large downstairs studio, which can be quite cold so be sure to wear layers (this is not a workout class, so you won’t be sweating or moving much). Also, since they don’t have curtains or blinds, there are sometimes a lot of noise and light pollution from the parking lot and street (pedestrians walking by and talking, car headlights, bus announcements, etc.)

The last time I only heard her say hello on the computer to two people but there are so many people in person… and since she’s catering to the people from home she doesn’t walk around the room to give any adjustments. The computer set up also takes up a bunch of room since no one wants to be in the computers camera shot. Still love her classes regardless!

see all reviewsI actually really enjoy when teachers at least provide or give the opportunity for more challenging poses! And this class was awesome does that! I’ve been doing yoga now on and off for like 8 years and to be honest, sometimes I can get really complacent and that’s fine of course but sometimes I want to push myself and try something new with my body and see “okay can my body do this or is this a new limitation? Or is this a new discovery??” But what happens too often is I get so use to the same poses and the same flows and never even attempt anything more difficult . As such, I LOVED that this teacher snuck in a few more modifications to kick things up a notch for those who wanted the challenge that practice!

see all reviewsReally love how intentional Steph Stock’s movements are! Absolutely love her class and the way she teaches. — Separate comment for studio management (not about teacher): there are no wipes or any cleaning processes in place after we use props in class. Would really appreciate if our props we use while working out were sanitized before the next person uses them! They tend to be sticky or hair stuck to them, it doesn’t feel super clean in the studio. There’s also no clean drinking water for a workout studio. Otherwise vibes are good but there’s some basics I’d love to see (wipes, water) for a better experience to keep me coming back
