Good class. Ryan is a solid instructor. His program is structured and challenging with a mix of run/pace, hills and sprints...not to much and not for too long, but just enough to challenge us. I like the repeats-in this case, 3 sets where i can do good, better, best. Music isn't the best but Ryan's classes go by in a blink and so it's easy to just run though it.

    Switch Playground Class

Great concept for a class, but time is often wasted because trainers dont demonstrate the moves quickly enough, or they demonstrate it while you are in the middle of another workout, forcing you to stop the current workout you are doing to watch. Dont like how the trainers dance around you/wish there was more guidance on weights and band resistance. Overall it was a good workout though and I left sweaty.

This class was so fun! Great environment, Large room, cool lights, and fun music. There are 20 stations that you spend 2 minutes at each, alternating moves throughout-so you never get bored of the moves! There is a ski machine, erg, treadmill, bar bells, stair master, etc. You do have to go through stations with a partner though, so keep that in mind if you dont like that kinda thing.

    EXCEED: The Workout

Such a tough workout, but exactly what I wanted. Very good bang for your buck in terms of squeezing in a good full body workout. Justin was super nice and great at explaining everything. He was also good about going around and offering form corrections and positive reinforcement. Very non-judgmental and encourages you to do what your body will allow. Clean, nice studio and a small-ish class so there was ample room to do the exercises. A lot like KORE but with less over-crowding!

As a beginner to hot yoga, this was the perfect class. I felt like the vinyasa flows were a bit too fast but it was nice that we were given time to flow on our own. Sam came around and provided adjustments. The restorative section was just what I needed after a week of intense strength and cardio workouts and feeling sore. The heat works so well with the sequences. My spine feels so much better. To think I was going to pay for an infrared sauna session to get the effects that I got in this class! I wish this class lasted even longer! Bring lots of water and a towel.

Rachel is new to Beast. Beast has set workouts so it comes down to the instructor's energy. Choose her class if you prefer a not so intense or challenging vibe. EXCEED: The Workout

As I told her after class, this may have been Sky’s toughest class in all the years that I’ve taken her. We covered a ton of work - an opening 5min strength section, :45, 5 station circuit done 2x, 5min running clock alternating bw Swings + core work, then :35, 5 station circuit done 2x. Excellent mix of upper + lower work (thrusters, swings, DL, burpees, Trx rows, bike, ski, row, Trx lunges, push presses, one legged DL, Supermans, one legged box hops). You get out what you put in to these classes - lots of ppl coast through using baby weights. Don’t be one of those people. You should be leaving here dripping in sweat + totally gassed

Hot damn, class was brutal tonight! 8 mins at each station with the same buy in + cash out move sandwiching a 6 min EMOM of another move: Run .2, 20 KB Swings / Row 12-18 cals, 10 erg knee tucks with 5 air squats / 20 wall balls, 4 man makers into clean, squat + press / 15 bike cals, 8-10 burpees. I generally don’t enjoy EMOMs Bc the goal count always seems to be too low + so I feel like I’m standing around doing nothing during class, but the given goals were on point. Love taking class here bc you never know what you’re walking into with the ever changing movements + profile breakdowns, but I always feel gassed when leaving.

Ive been doing Barrys since 2015 - I love it - and Ive rarely had an instructor thats as hard as Brady for the floor sequence. Justin was awesome and really welcoming as it was my first class there! This class is TOUGH-you will be so tired by the last round of treadmill and floor weight work. This class is not for the faint of heart. You do about 8 mins on the treadmill, then 8 mins on the floor, alternating for 4 rounds-and each round is different. The classpass description says it's a 50 minute class, but it's actually 1 FULL hour long. They do not stop a minute early-so be prepared for that. I would go back again for sure! I also like that the instructor doesn't push you to make your running speed higher. They give you a range, and don't bother you, but encourage you to listen to whatever your body is feeling-and go with that. It's a great, intense workout!

Great vibe here, I like the low lights and loud music. It is a little warm in the studio so dress accordingly. If youre new its better to get a machine in the middle so you can see other people and the instructor hangs there the most. Its a little hard to understand some of the moves if you havent been but before class the teacher demonstrated some (so go early and watch!). They dont use the traditional Lagree names so I was a little lost at times but I think the more you go the more you will catch on. Teacher was full of energy and excitement- you can tell he is passionate about his work there. Highly recommend Jacob!

    FOUNDATIONS (core building)

Sean was amazing and so was the studio. I thought I would feel out of place because this would be like one of those pretentious studios attended by girls who wear Lululemon, but that couldnt be further from the truth. I was welcomed by the receptionist. Sean was amazing. He came around and corrected everyones form. This was my first reformer class so I had trouble setting up, and Sean was super helpful. As for the class, its a beginners class so I didnt feel super tired, but there were definitely parts where my abs were burning. If youre looking for an intense workout, you wont find it here, but thats not why I took the class. Pilates is about body control and awareness. Its a good way to strengthen your core muscles and also smaller muscle groups, which helps with injury prevention. I didnt think I would enjoy a low intensity workout as much as I did. I felt like I learned a lot about my body, and it was nice to slow things down and really think about what your body is doing.

    Training Day

Great class and great instructor. It was definitely more body weight drills and sprints than weights—the weighted work consisted mostly of the barbell move of the day. There was less rest than at tone house, but I also felt like the intensity/force required was not as high. So whatever your preference is. Good high intensity cardio/sprint workout for sure.

    SSL: Butt, Legs and Core

I take Angela’s class whenever I want to get my ass kicked (which is like, every week). Warm up and stations (that you only have to do once, which is great) that follows the same format but she switches up so it’s never boring. Great class that I always leave sore & accomplished.

Surya Hot Flow - Level 1

Our instructor Megan was great, she took the time to correct my stance several times. Was concise and easy to follow. She also topped off the class with an adjustment and aromatherapy with tea tree oil. Playlist was a fun mix which helped to keep me engaged. The facilities need work, a lot of keys are missing on the lockers and the heat was disappointing. Temperature was turned on at 100 but it felt like 80 tops. I felt a strong draft from the window throughout the class.

The studio is SO cute & the music was awesome. I took cardio barre and it was so challenging. The movements are easy but it definitely puts your endurance to the test. I left feeling like I had worked out every part of my body and got in a really good sweat! Ill definitely be back.

Fun playlist. The bike is more like a soul cycle bike- no monitor with your resistance and stats. Small room and bikes are close to one another but good energy and teacher moves around the room motivating people.

This was my first class with Mel! I've been going to Tennis in Manhattan all summer and he is by far the best instructor. He gives everyone individual attention and makes sure you're always on your toes by mixing it up. Cannot recommend enough!!!

    Hard Core Thursday

Gym star is really nice, funny and energetic- by far my favorite instructor here. Ive been coming to conbody for awhile now and theyve updated the studio a lot this year, with black floors, black walls and a yellow ceiling light. Its still really hot in here, but they have someone in between classes cleaning here.
