    DIRTY 30

I thought a 30 min class would be easy since I found the Dash 28 a breeze, but I was so wrong. This was intense and I felt like I was going to throw up at times. Come to this on an empty stomach! Corinne always has the hardest workouts.

    Switch Playground Class

This might be the most entertaining class in NYC and perfect if you have workout ADD since its about 20 different stations for two minutes each. The trainers do a great job demonstrating the moves and keeping things moving. Youll sometimes lose a few seconds waiting for a demo but to avoid this, it helps to look at the station right after hours while you are at your own station so that you can anticipate whats next.

    Fly 45

Liked Nicks electronic play list kept me motivated. This studio has new bikes. Has the usual Flywheel amenities. Water, towel, shower, bliss products. I find the width of the space between your legs bc the peddles are closer to the base maybe? To be too narrow. The inside of my heel kept hitting the bar in the middle and maybe bc Im a little bow legged? My knee kept turning the torq dial by accident and changing the torq. The new bikes have nice hydrolics in the seat adjustment. My left peddle came loose off the bike in the middle of the ride and I had to get off and change bikes. The manager was very professional and credited me my ride.

    ABS ARMS ASS (toning)

One of the best non SLT Pilates classes I’ve EVER taken. I’m the biggest Pilates snob mostly bc Slt ruined me for normal Pilates but Cassandra’s class was incredible. Very effective. Even better than some burnout classes I’ve taken with other instructors. Plus she’s super sweet and really focuses on good form. She’s v attentive in class with adjustments. My only gripe is that I wish classes here were longer and had more planks but I think that’s just me.

    Slow-Burn

As a beginner to hot yoga, this was the perfect class. I felt like the vinyasa flows were a bit too fast but it was nice that we were given time to flow on our own. Sam came around and provided adjustments. The restorative section was just what I needed after a week of intense strength and cardio workouts and feeling sore. The heat works so well with the sequences. My spine feels so much better. To think I was going to pay for an infrared sauna session to get the effects that I got in this class! I wish this class lasted even longer! Bring lots of water and a towel.

Ive been doing Barrys since 2015 - I love it - and Ive rarely had an instructor thats as hard as Brady for the floor sequence. Candlelit yoga in a blacked out room heated with vinyasa flow. Sweat Sesh. Kendra is a great instructor. Definitely need a little background in yoga as there are several "yogis choice secrions" which you might get lost in the sequence if you aren't familiar with it. Has a soul cycle studio feel. Malin and goets products, scented candles, branded Mitch. Only one shower which you can sign up on the list for before class. You can rent mats and yogi toe skidless towels. FOUNDATIONS (core building)

Sean was amazing and so was the studio. I thought I would feel out of place because this would be like one of those pretentious studios attended by girls who wear Lululemon, but that couldnt be further from the truth. I was welcomed by the receptionist. Sean was amazing. He came around and corrected everyones form. This was my first reformer class so I had trouble setting up, and Sean was super helpful. As for the class, its a beginners class so I didnt feel super tired, but there were definitely parts where my abs were burning. If youre looking for an intense workout, you wont find it here, but thats not why I took the class. Pilates is about body control and awareness. Its a good way to strengthen your core muscles and also smaller muscle groups, which helps with injury prevention. I didnt think I would enjoy a low intensity workout as much as I did. I felt like I learned a lot about my body, and it was nice to slow things down and really think about what your body is doing.

Danbi was super welcoming as I came early and she showed me around. She talked to me about her journey and told me a few important things that would be happening before the class. Before the class started we went over a few key moves and things to know about the reformer. Class was DIFFICULT and I’ve done classes like Tone House and other intense HIIT classes. I loved challenging myself in a different way today and even though the music wasn’t my vibe the workout and Danbi definitely were. Even if you’re new to workout don’t feel bad about taking a pause when your muscle is about to cramp because it’s a community of people at different levels but I saw many people stopping at a point. YOGA: Restorative

This was my first time and I immediately fell in love with this charming studio. Brandi guided us through a wonderful restorative yoga practice. I have done restorative before and find certain poses uncomfortable for me even with the support props. She patiently worked with me to find alternate poses that could work for my body. Ill be back.

    Int. Bootcamp: Core

I followed Jess here from The Fhitting Room. I had been here once and didnt love the format but her energy and playlist makes it worth it. She gives clear instructions and keeps you engaged. Tip: get a treadmill closer to her because it can be tough to see the floor exercises when youre lying down.

Alex was a great instructor. Really talked through how to feel each pose. As someone just getting back into yoga I felt like I got a lot out of this class and pushed harder through the poses and did them right, vs just trying to do them in other classes. A slower but good pace for beginner. Great studio and not a full class which was nice to have the extra space. Could have used more adjustments but maybe that meant I was doing it well! ;)

Was surprisingly full for a lunchtime class. But I got lucky and had a good partner. I like the format of class and that we werent swapping catching and hitting the whole time. Didnt getting any help on form but the coaches were cool and def had a great workout

Cary was wonderful. She corrects students form and gives tailored tips. Also makes sure you focus on your core in different forms and makes connections between different routines. Loved her class and will definitely come back.
