    Love Btone. New studio in Lexington is so much nicer than the previous location. Clean and welcoming. Evidently the owner designed the new machines which is pretty cool.     Great class! My only issue was the employee talking before class to another employee about Boston Marathon and asked if her friend was running for charity or a "real" runner. FYI- I've qualified both ways, 8 times. and was ALWAYS a real runner. That's just an aside, and not a huge issue, but it rubbed me the wrong way.

    Nate is awesome. Just became owner of his gym and already has gained a good number of clientele. Strength and conditioning focus with a lot of weight lifting and some HIIT scattered in there. Classes have the same basic structure (interval training) but no two classes are the same so it keeps it interesting and more variety for your muscles.     Awesome class. I enjoyed the structure. It was 30 minutes of weights with 3 rounds of 5 different exercises for a total body workout. We then went into a slightly heated room for 20 minutes stretching using a foam roller with some abs thrown in. Then we did a few minutes of anti-aging recovery on a rebounder and vibrating plate. Great way to decompress while getting a good workout in! The class only had 3 of us in it and Monica was great at encouraging us while helping with form and showing me around the gym.

    I liked the studio. The clientele, though all woman, were of diverse ages. some in their 20's, some in their 60s or 70s and everything in between. it was a small group and half of us did cardio while the other half did weights, in 15 minute increments. There was a trainer giving the people on weights their own individual exercises. We did 5 sets of 3 reps at 40 seconds per rep with 20 seconds in between. The times were constantly called out over the sound system, kind of like Curves (if you have ever done that). However, the trainer did a lot more than staff at Curves do and the group was smaller. I would call this small group personal training meets curves meets Barry's/Orange Theory. I will go back.
