The moves are basic, easy to perform in terms of technique but a killer class. There’s really no need for complicated moves in this class and I’m always crazy sore after her class. I’ve found that Courtenay’s style varies depending on the time of day, with early morning classes being less is tense compared to the afternoon ones. Just a matter of your personal preference. After a solid warmup, Courtenay incorporates strength building exercises, which then build into the flow. Overall, his afternoon class can be rigorous and challenging, which I like, and he provides help with alignment, which I also appreciate.

see all reviewsGreat class! Most I've sweat in a class maybe ever! Felt super hot and humid and was a very fast paced flow. The studio is very nice and has lots of nice lighting the instructor dimmed for class which was nice bc there are no windows in the yoga room--made for a nice ambiance. The lobby however is super bright and anytime the doors open (which they did open several times throughout class) may be a distraction to some. I was very thankful for the cool lavender towel that unfortunately most places don't do anymore with covid. They have hand sanitizer by shared spray bottles for your mats but this could be a way to spread germs. Other studios I've seen the instructor pass out wipes during shavasana which is nice bc it limits contact.

It’s such a great cardio workout because you go back and forth from the skill mill (Manual treadmill) to boxing to floor workouts. They have walker, jogger, and runner options and everyone is encouraged to work out at whatever pace they feel comfortable. Loved that the treadmill wasn’t just running sprints — lots of variations at an intense incline. In addition to Bri, they also have an assistant in the room to refill waters, help with modifications and find the right weights for you.

Ive taken this class once before and both times Ivonne passed out little bottles of essential oils to everyone to use during practice. I got there exactly at the start of class and Ivonne was kind enough to let me in, unlike some other studios that are strict about their times (I understand why, but theres nothing worse than being locked out of a yoga class when your body NEEDS it). I wish there was some way to know if this class is going to focus on a lower, upper, or full body though.
