    Great workout, and really lovely instructor. The only recommendation I have is to improve cuing. For example, instead of having everyone go into plank & waiting 30 seconds till its over, use that 30 seconds to guide the class into proper form. This not only makes the time go by faster but it also ensures that people are safely doing the moves.

    I so appreciate Derek for his passion about fitness! I feel welcome and encouraged in his class. He has us try an exercise before we do it to make sure we have proper form. We stretch and warm up our bodies to prevent injury. All these details make Derek's class special.

    I got there just a couple minutes before it started so didn't get to check-in until after the warm-up. Instructor was friendly though I didn't catch her name. It was Tabata Tuesday. It was a quick challenging workout. You can sort of work at your own pace so maybe ok for beginners.

    Kellen designed a challenging circuit: 2 rounds of 5 stations, 2 exercises per station. The moves were simple, but really effective. Great utilization of all types of equipment including dumbbells, exercise ball, bosu, dumbbells, high bar, rowing machine and air bike.     This gym is incredibly welcoming and encouraging. The class size is small in the morning, so the instructor and assistant were able to provide me with a lot of personalized attention and instruction. I enjoyed the class because it was challenging but manageable, interesting, energetic and fun. I also like the location, near the water in Alameda.

    I went for the first time to Jason’s Korean Martial Arts class. He was very kind and had a nice calm energy. He was really patient with me and tried to introduce me to as much as he could. He took the time to explain actual technique and proper form and made sure I understood why I was doing the moves. Great for first timers who have never done martial arts and for those who have dabbled. It was a workout and educational!
