About this class

Pilates is a technique for strengthening and toning the core postural muscles, especially in the abdominal area. Using small focused movements, core awareness is increased improving strength, flexibility and posture. Each teacher has their own approach so if you need a slow and detailed class we recommend Anja and Symeon, but if you want a tough workout go to Brooke. Ivona keeps her classes at a steady but relaxed pace, and if you like creative teachers try Akane, Alessandra and Danai! All levels - Open to all, no experience necessary. If you have a history of injuries or any other issues, we recommend our Level 1 class and teachers with a slower approach (see above).

How to get there

Yogahome is accessible by bus and train. The nearest underground stations are a short bus ride away at Dalston Kingsland (London Overground), Highbury and Islington (Victoria Line)and Angel (Northen Line). Please visit TFL top plan your journey. Parking is restricted to pay and display from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 8.30 to 1.30 on Saturday.

For real beginners only - not one to attend if you are looking for a proper workout I would say. But the class was welcoming and relaxing

More of a “zen” type studio, lots of natural unfinished woods and low light. Don’t come running in loudly like I did! It’s very hushed voices and calm. The class was a lot of stretching which I love, and some challenging core work. Teacher was lovely, funny but motivating.

One of the best Pilates classes I’ve been too - it’s a tough class if you want it to be and she explains everything really well.
