About this class

We store stress and trauma in our bodies. This is the cold, hard truth. But what’s also true and makes things a little warmer and fuzzier is that through movement and presence of mind we can learn to release tension that we have built over time. Unwind. Recover. Recharge. is not your typical yoga class. Through a unique blend of exercises inspired by yoga, Pilates, and other therapeutic modalities, this practice will help you learn to gently unwind contraction in your body. Those tight spots can cause pain, discomfort, or simply agitation and anxiety. In this class, we’ll breathe, move, and stabilize to help you realign your physical body, allowing for a deeper connection to you and an opportunity for more healing and freedom. You’ll be surprised by the dramatic results of this subtle movement practice. It will leave you feeling both totally unwound and energized in the same breath.

How to prepare

Wear comfy clothes that don't restrict your movement, and bring a towel, water and a yoga mat. If you don't have a mat, no worries! You can always rent or buy one at the front desk.

Great instructor

It was difficult to hear the instructor. Her voice was too quiet to hear consistently and her cues needed better timing so that people didnt move their props while she was still talking. The structure of the class was not clear and did not flow well. It was also too dark to see the instructors examples she would demo.

I generally prefer yin rather than restorative, however I enjoyed this class more than expected. I wouldve liked more explanation of how the postures worked and what they were releasing.

Micro-stretching really helped me loose and long. It would have been helpful to have some calming music and silence at times. The teachers spoke and coached through the entire 90 min. Didn't detract from the class but my personal preference would be to allow for more silent moment.

This class is relaxing and releases tension in the body - I definitely feel looser and lighter the entire day. Probably a great class in between more intense work-out days.

What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a new kind of gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world.

The number of classes you can take and the number of times you can visit a studio per month depends on which plan you're on. You can figure out which plan you're on by going to your Account Settings and looking under 'Your current plan.' With hundreds of studios in our ever-growing network, you're bound to always find a new class to enjoy. When your cycle renews, you can go back and revisit those favorites yet again!
