About this class

This is a beginner level class designed to to allow time for the additional guidance you need to understand proper alignment and breathing. Back to Basics classes are ideal for beginner yoga students and an excellent opportunity for more seasoned yogis to take a step back, check in with their architecture in basic poses (like chaturunga and down dog) and get the tune-up they need to practice both breath and movement more effectively.

Back to Basics Flow with Amy
This was my first time at Yoga Heights. The studio is very nice, clean, organized. I had hoped this class would include instructions on alignment and to make your basic poses and vinyasas stronger, and it wasn’t that. I was overall disappointed with instruction. “Back to Basics” was simple sequences.

A little too basic—the positions were held too long.

Lovely teacher but way too much explanation and almost zero flow. About 25 min talking and 35 min poses in whole class.

Great class! The instructor knew how to teach a basic flow that was informative and challenging no matter what level youre at. The only thing I didnt like was the music.
Back to Basics Flow with Angela
Overall, it was a good experience. For a "basics" class, there was not a ton of instruction. And there were a couple of seemingly advanced yogis in the room. But the instructor and the assistant were lovely. I have to say that the front desk staff was pretty unhelpful and unwelcoming when I arrived. I had never been to the studio before and I sensed a bit of annoyance when I asked where the room was, where I could find the bathroom, etc.

I found this class very fast paced - great class but not beginner, just got emphasis on form
Back to Basics Flow with Jess
Amazing! A great workout abut not impossible! The instructions and instructors were easy to follow
Back to Basics Flow with Cheryl
Was great! Just what I needed to get back in the swing of my yoga workout.
Back to Basics Flow with Caroline
Caroline is very helpful and is keenly aware of her students' needs. Great flow!

I was so hungover for this but Caroline made me feel so comfortable. It was a little more challenging than I was expecting for a basics class but still great.
